I didnt read through this whole thread so I apologize if this has been mentioned.

Two questions/comments about this pool.

1. Has anyone done any calculations that show roughly how much more profit can be made mining here vs mining BTC directly? (I realize that mining BTC with GPU now is pointless, but Id like to see this compared to something) Maybe even converted to USD?

Calculations for BTC mining with based on coinwarez.com mining calculator for 2 MH/s (currently what I would call my lower average) - This does not include pool fees and is set at the default power cost and usage so that value would change based on power usage.
Time FrameBTC CoinsUSDPower Cost (in USD)Pool Fees (in USD)Profit in USD
Hourly0.00002955 $0.03$0.05$0.00) ($0.02)
Daily0.00070909$0.62$1.20$0.00($0.58)

My daily is between 0.01 (on the low end) and 0.04 (on the high end) so really mining BTC with my GPU's would cost me more money then it would be worth.. Someone with more hashing power might be better off but for my setups Ill be staying here.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I know mining BTC on GPU is no comparison to scrypt coins converted to BTC. I guess the $/MH value is more of what I was looking for.

I have about 7MH and make about $45 worth of LTC a day. Ive been thinking about trying to mine and convert to BTC more than I have in the past.

0.04BTC is about $31 right now, with the same 5MH I can mine $32 of LTC a day. (as of right now)

in the past week with 5MH i have averaged $58 a day and that is with a couple times my rigs going offline.  I think $31 is really low, i would say more around $60 for 5MH.  U can always go to the data and look at what people are making, it's all there.  It astounds me how frequently people ask what their hashing power will produce when all the data is right there.

This might give you a better idea this user is running at around 6.9905 MH/s

What load balancing are you guys talking about?

I had US and EU pools both in my .conf file and set load-balance to true

is there a way to do it using batch command and adjusting the quota between servers?

@maciejro - You have now 0.01901747, so maybe you was under the 0,01 payout limit until today ?

Ok I'll ask the stupid question, what is the logic behind switching coins multiple times a minute? Why not make it not change coins until every 10 minutes or more? Then we're losing less share rate on the disconnects. Or are the profits higher when you just stay in a constant state of coin switching?

Hey,

I've been having an issue recently after coming back to middlecoin from other pools. Before I had my bat only list middlecoin and I noticed a lot of "connection to pool 0 interrupted" and my house lights would flicker brighter. lol

So I setup a backup pool on doge just incase it was down for a significant period of time.
Today I noticed that I at times I am the #1 hasher on the doge pool and have mined over 100k of them today! And thats with my primary pool as middlecoin. I am using --failover-only and Before that I noticed hash leak as well.

I notice middlecoin is now at 7GH, When I joined it was at 1.5.
Is this causing connection issues?

Thanks for anyone helping me to get this sorted out. I want most of my hashes going to middlecoin not doge! (unless middlecoin is mining doge that is!)

tried the US server last night, half of my hashes were on my back-up pools...suffice it to say I'm back on the EU server.  Going to be a low payout today but that's how testing goes, working on compiling a linux version of cgminer with the changes mentioned in this thread and try that.

Not a stupid question because it's not something that's supposed to happen. It shouldn't switch more than once every 5 minutes. Switching multiple times a minute doesn't even give us enough time to find a block.

My hash rate is supposed to be around 5mh/s, I'm getting between 3.6-4.5... These issues on the US server need to be fixed!!

When you say average, how long of a timeframe are you looking at?

I have averaged about 0.017 BTC per MH/s per day since the DOGE craziness calmed down. With 7 MH/s you are probably looking at about 0.100 BTC per day on average, ranging from 0.060 to 0.150 depending on the day.

I get the impression that the coins are probably exchanged well before they show up on the graph.

It would make sense otherwise everyone would know when a dump is coming

OK, so I've just added load-balance to my config. Let's see how that works out.

On a side note, I noticed that I have no-pool-disable set to true also but I don't know what that does and it doesn't appear to be on the cgminer thread on this forum. Any ideas anyone?

Lucky you. Still not running well for me at all.

What port are you on (if it even matters)?

Also, are you sure your hash rate numbers haven't dropped after you first posted that it was working well?

Just curious. Thanks!
