Which file do I edit? Do you just open it with notepad? I'd rather modify it myself than download somebody else's update, no offense.

None taken. But you realize you have to recompile the program after these changes? It isn't just some configuration file you're changing, it's hard coded in the binary.

Ah never done that before, I'm sure I could figure it out but I'm feeling more lazy and I'll just switch pools until the issues are resolved

I think a temporary reduced pool fee would be a good business decision for H2O because it would increase loyalty to the pool and generate him more money in long-term.

Loyalty? You were screaming for a scammer tag a few hours ago!

I can't stand people like that. I doubt he will / can compile. It will be way too much effort for him anyway. People like that who don't code and dont put in any real work just expect everything to come to them. Doesn't understand that cgminer he is running was written by someone and given for free and that the pool he is making money on was setup and maintained for free... and the fact that he rips off other people is just crazy. Maybe he is a sociopath. LOL

Can we get a SCAM label on this thread yet?

I'm feeling more lazy and I'll just switch pools until the issues are resolved

What are the benefits to the later versions of CGMIner?

Im using 3.1.0 for a while now, never saw a reason to update-

I am using 3.1.1 and have not had to recompile to fix the disconnect/drop issue. I don't know if there is any advantage with the newer versions, especially on middlecoin - can anyone comment on this?

Also, the switch/disconnect frequency seem to had dropped way off, looks like the fix has rolled out.

I'm absolutely seeing higher avg hash rates since the last few hours.

I can only speak for myself though I have no issue with the current pool fee. I'm hearing a lot of calls for a reduction in the pool fees for the recent troubles/bugs though I disagree. The fact that you are spending the time to fix them and continue to make the pool better are why you deserve these fees to begin with. Your efforts allow me to live my life and spend zero time constantly monitoring exchange rates, changing pools, exchanging coins, etc. If people are worried about maximizing their hashpower and profits, there are better, but more time consuming ways for doing that IMO. Time is money so it evens out in my perspective.

Just my opinion, YMMV  Cheesy

Connecting from the UK to US and seems fairly solid at the mo. Had maybe a dozen getwork failures in the past 3 hours.

Seconded. Don't be greedy. Feeling short changed? Go somewhere else. Don't have anywhere to go? Start your own pool. Can't do that? Then you are out of luck.

I noticed some recent changes as well.
Has the coin name been inside the job name before? Like DOG_something or MOO_something? :-)

Likewise here. Hashrate on US has improved by about 10% for my rigs.

Same here, not 10% but back closer to where it should be for sure!

I wonder if H2O will end up pulling that so other pools can't easily detect his mining algorithms. Smiley As a miner it's nice to see it though.

The US server now has the new code, which doesn't disconnect on coin switches. It's bugged to have 1% extra rejects, which show up as "duplicate shares".

This is great news. Is the ETA until bug fix still Sunday?

No idea really. We're just going to run with the bug for a while.

ETA on the EU server being setup right is moved up to tomorrow night.
