There will be another 100k unconfirmed, making it 240k total. Bitcoin is a joke, i've been expecting confirmation since whednesday. Pay 5$ each time wait 5 days.
WORSE PAYMENT SYSTEM THAT THERE EVER WAS. ONLY GOOD IF YOU HOLD & PRAY FOR IT TO BE WORTH MILLIONS.
If you actually need to use and pay people then bitcoin is shit and pointless.

It can happen but I expect the opposite to occur actually and there to be a small drop off. Nothing crazy but a minor correction I think is more likely to happen than 24k. These are my thoughts of course I can't predict the future.

We already had the CBOE listing a few days back. That was the first Bitcoin futures listing in an established legal stock exchange. Now CME is a bigger exchange, but they are not going to be the first. So I guess the market reaction will be more mild.

That'd be nice, but we shall see what happens exactly. I'd transfer a little bit into altcoins and diversify so no matter what happens over the next couple of years, you can still kill it. Bitcoin's currently approaching $19,000.. not bad.

24k would be pretty cool, there is a lot of people that will fall for the CME futures scam and will go into Bitcoin. Yeah, it would be really cool to wake up and seeing the price hitting $24,000. But we will have to see. CME or institutional investors are the main driver now. Just look at how those investors are buying. They are like crazy buying bitcoin because they are really aiming for a financial gain. I can't call CME futures scam but this made those investors irrational and "panic buying" at top price now. And there are a lot who are still waiting to fill their orders. We are inching closer to $19,000, some predicted (including me) that the price could go to $20,000 because of all this interest on bitcoin future contract. But we will have to wait and see. We already had the CBOE listing a few days back. That was the first Bitcoin futures listing in an established legal stock exchange. Now CME is a bigger exchange, but they are not going to be the first. So I guess the market reaction will be more mild.
CME is the first financial institutions that officially announced that they are offering bitcoin future contracts. However, their competitor CBOE, decided to get their hands first, and it was a good first week because the price is always around $16,000-$17,000 which leads us to conclude that them coming into the picture has reduced volatility. But since CME's turn now, we can't really say for certain if the effect will also be the same. We have to see the reaction of the investors to say that it will be more mild. IMHO. |

Stabilization?? The only thing that we saw since bitcoin got listed on futures on the CBOE is that bitcoin is more volatile than ever, but it has only increased, it didn't had a dip yet. Those futures are already changing the price, it went from $17500 to $19500 in just a day, it is more than enough to realize tha the cme is affecting the price right now. Dont be sceptical, bitcoin is going up, and there is nothing wrong with this. |

I think that just like the CBOE listing lead to rise in bitcoin's price,CME's listing would also do the same.Both are different even when both are cash settled.CBOE's contract size is one bitcoin while CME's contract size is five bitcoins.So,the marginal requirement of money for posting a trade by the trader is more in CME when compared to CBOE.We could expect CME's launch of bitcoin futures would make bitcoin price reach $25,000. |

We can't talk about a stable price @ 24k when we haven't even reached 20k. Let alone discuss about what's going to happen next year if the price reaches 24k tomorrow. And I don't think it's going to reach 24k tomorrow, but we can expect a surge in the price once CME futures go live followed by a small correction, just like it happened last sunday when CBOE btc futures went live. |

Probably it wont reach the 24k$ mark even if it is listed on Chicago Mercantile Exchange soon, it is too soon IMO for it to reach the speculated price now or tomorrow. Even if that is the case, I am sure that it will reach the speculated price someday as adoption rate increases. BTC being listed on another exchange doesn't really boost it's price much unless there are registered whales there planning to invest into bitcoins using Chicago Mercantile Exchange. |

I agree with this completely the marginal difference will not be as much as the one witnessed when there was this bitcoin cash fork that made much effect on price compared to other forks that took place subsequently. But at the same time, the effect of the earlier listing has not been fully harnessed which in combination if this new one might even make much more or equal impact. |

Bitcoin futures may affect the market indirectly as the contract settles in fiat currency instead of invest in bitcoin. People just excited as a big trading group put bitcoin to their trading list which caused a lot of buzz on Wall Street and triggered a rally in bitcoin price since it was announced.
But, current price seems steadily increasing and may reach $20,000 today or tomorrow. How about $24,000? Personally, I believe bitcoin may reach $25K by the end of the year due to bitcoin development and acceptance in some business and companies across the global market.

to be clear Chicago Mercantile Exchange is not listing "bitcoin" on their exchange! they are listing a futures trading market in their platform for a special way of trading stuff. it is very different from what you see on regular exchanges for trading.
and in my opinion the rise from around $8000 to $15000 (nearly 2x rise) was because of this news. and rises are known to happen when the news first comes out not after market starts for example.
for after the market starts (which is tomorrow i beleive) we may even see some small drops but in the long run it will be helpful for more adoption and that leads to much higher solid rise.

The CBOE bitcoin future listing did bring an appreciation and I expect the same from CME listing as well. Crypto market runs on news. Nobody cares whether that news gonna help Bitcoin or not. Recently, Bitcoin is appreciating($17500 to $19500) in effect of CME listing event only. Many of the investors don't even understand futures and don't even know that those futures don't gonna effect Bitcoin in short term. |
