No. You shouldn't trust anyone claiming authority or special skills in any ICO! You are the one investing your hard earned money. You should be thoroughly convinced that you are confidence and comfortable about where your money is going. Having done your research you know your investment will bring decent profit.

Generally, when money's involved, never trust anybody except yourself! There are many people who are nice and gentle, but when it comes to money their dark side prevails and they become someone else!

You must research a lot before putting your money on something. The so-called experts exist because most of the people are too lazy for that (although honest experts exist too).
