I have recently just started mining with Nicehash. I am currently mining with one GPU (RX 480 4G) and CPU (Ryzen 5 1600) 16G RAM, Win10.
Im aware of the recent nicehash hack and xfer my payout immediately to offline paper wallet. I also don't pay for electricity cost. Just to clear that up.
I do have a couple of questions, which i have tried to research on google, github and looked around on bitcoin talk to no avail.
First when i benchmarked my RX 480. I only got 5 of the 18 algo's to complete and be mineable which are -- DaggerHashimoto (Claymore) 23.422 MH/s --- Cryptonight (claymore) 423.720 H/S --- Cryptonight(claymore_old) 626.220 H/S --- Equihash (claymore) 291.724 Sol/S --- Equihash (Optiminer AMD) 233.052 Sol/S
I don't know if this is normal or I should have more algo's to select from. Most of the others terminated or said failed try precise, which is odd because I did use precise. I'm currently running 17.11.4 AMD driver with 17.12.1 available and 17.12.2 optional, guessing that one's beta. I hear amd has a driver for mining, but I havn't tried this due to still using my pc to game frequently and wouldn't assume the mining driver should be used for gaming. Should I have more algo's?
Secondly most people refer to their hashrate's in MH/S, my brothers rig even shows when mining that his rate is in MH/S. When I mine it usually mines from Cryptonight claymore_old and says my hash rate is usually 640 H/S. Shouldn't this be MH/S? I'm still making around $4/day so I assume it's just the algo/pool's different term for the speed, or am I actually hashing at slower rates than what I should?
Everything seems to be going fine other than that, and the occasional difference between what my miner says I've earned and my actual wallet, but I think that is normal, not sure.
Thanks in-advance for the help !
