The difficulty is doing what it almost always does - goes up. Wasn't that bad this time....

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

Taughts, opinions ?

Well, for such a loose question here is a loose reply: nothing compared with the dawning PetaHash era made possible mostly by KNCminer, BitFury and maybe HashFast  Smiley

At the rate we are going, 70M will be breached in September/October. We are looking at 100M+ difficulty by end of the year.

this will also penalize scryptcoin, now to have the same profit when difficulty was about 7M, you need to mine scrypt with 500% propfit

The difficulty is high enough now that unless you're investing in 100+ Gh/s units don't bother buying mining equipment. Your money is better spent investing in bitcoins themselves. The difficulty is only going to go up faster when (and if) BFL/KNC delivers
