Dear Bitcoiners,

Between now and mid-August, we’re offering amazing deals on early signups for our bitcoin trading platform. Members enjoy low fees (lower than any other exchange out there), and lifetime memberships are only available now. Offers start at $5.

http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/atlas-building-quality-markets-for-digital-currency

Or simply sign up now to win a free membership. The first 1,000 users automatically enter a campaign to win:
- 50 yellow
- 5 blue
- 1 black

"Black" will be $5,000/year. Currently you get any "lifetime" membership for the 1-year cost. If you do the math, you will find they are a super deal. Meanwhile everyone, including non-members, will likely appreciate the ability to *make* 0.1% commission when posting orders.

Don't worry about social security #. Yes, it's an American thing, which doesn't apply if you're not a US resident.

Good job choosing a name that is in no way associated with talentless, incompetent fuck-ups with illusions of grandeur.

Oh..... wait... well, damn.

Fake edit: I just remembered, he wasn't completely incompetent. He DID build an IKEA table once. Though we actually don't know if it still stands.

It's a nice deal relative to your regular prices. But it's asking a lot to speculate that Atlas will ever get the volume for this $5k to ever pay itself back.

Is trading live on your site? I can't tell without putting in my social security number..

It's a fair point.  There are many start-up exchanges vying to launch in the US and not all of them will succeed. Atlas will succeed because unlike these groups, we have the domain expertise and the technology required to operate a mature exchange in highly regulated markets. It is not trivial. The exchange will go live in the next 30 days..

If everyone can add limit orders, then what does market making for the black members actually mean?

No really dudes, you need someone to come up with better names for stuff.

"Atlas"-ATS, ok, that's unfortunate, but eh, what can you do?

But then we have: yellow members and black members. I mean, come on. Come ooooon. That's so bad it's almost funny.

Yes, yes... Unlike the competition, we are 99% tech and maybe 1% marketing, not the opposite. And that's what you get ;-)

No, actually, exactly like the "competition" you make all sorts of such claims. Also exactly like the "competition", your claims are not backed by anything whatsoever. Idem when challenged you'll refer to how time will show you're the one guy that wasn't lying about it all. Idem time will in fact prove, that you were.

Good story anyway.

Worst answer possible. Get a marketing dude. I recommend one Josh Zerlan for bonus publicity.

Any chance you will be at the Inside Bitcoin conference in NYC on Tuesday?
