Wauw. Without a release it keeps value. When it releases it will be dumped by some people. It does not matter what I think of it and whether I hold or not...
I hope you know what will happen if there are no buyers. I hope I am wrong and there are many buyers but guess what, all  altcoins are getting dumped bij panic..

DAV is part of MOBI, the  Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative. The team is excited to be part of such an organization which includes leaders in automotive technology like BMW, Ford, GM, Renault and ZF. Other MOBI participants include top-tier technology organizations such as Bosch, IOTA, and Hyperledger. "If you have to summarize the future of transportation in one word it’s going to be autonomous"

Do you know who's this quote from? All in the video below!

I'm not sure where you are getting the 13th of July from. That message I just linked was July 3, not 13. What I am telling you is that the regulatory issue was known before the unlocking date (and also known before telling the community) and is the whole and only reason for the delay of the UNLOCKING. The team asking for exchanges to delay LISTING had nothing to do with the regulatory issue, and nothing to do with the the delay of unlocking.

Man i wont discuss semantics. Fact are the dates of the expected release date of the request of the delay of hitbtc mid june and the announcement on the 13 July, 5 working days later. And the pressure everyone was placing to avoid the relase of the token in this bear market because it would appear on dexes even if not on hitbtc. Then this regulatory issue appeared 5 working days later affecting only a few but that resulted on a delay to everyone
Have to go to dinner. Priorities:). In any case hope we now get the token unlocked on the 23rd and hope no more “regulatory issues” happen.

Hi Xemesis,

The reason DAV had delayed the unlock of the tokens is due to their Swiss regulatory authority requesting additional information about the source of funds for certain contributors. If they did not provide such information, the Foundation wouldn't have been compliant.

The delay was crucial to ensure the compliance of the DAV Foundation.

Is there an update on how long this process will take? I am eager to get my hands on my DAV ... however in this market it probably wont do great.

How will vehicles get DAV software? Will the manufacturer have to allow or does this all happen aftermarket?

We are working on this on more than one level. First, we have software that can reside outside of the vehicle (i.e., either on a remote server, or onboard an aftermarket component attached to the vehicle). This software can speak with the vehicle using its existing APIs to give it commands, receive telemetry data, and more. We are already working with a number of vehicle manufacturers (both manned and autonomous) this way, both integrating with their existing APIs, and working with them to open new API capabilities. Second, there are common standards emerging for vehicles that will allow the addition of external ""apps"" to the vehicle's IVI (with appropriate permissions, of course). We are in touch with someone who has been doing a lot of great work on this over at Automotive Grade Linux, and we are looking into that as well. Finally, we will be working with manufacturers to integrate DAV technology directly into their vehicles. This will happen at a later stage, but we are already in talks with a few companies about this at the moment. To make this possible, we are creating developer tools and SDKs for different programming languages and platforms. These tools ease third-party development and allow our partners to focus on their core business by abstracting a lot of the complexities of working with blockchain, doing decentralized communications, etc.

Consumer skepticism of autonomous vehicles remains a challenge to deployment, but not an insurmountable one.

the tokens remain locked until August 23rd at the latest. So no trading can be done prior to the unlock. After the tokens are unlocked, it is up to the exchanges as to when they list DAV.
