Based on what I read in facebook ( I can't remember who's that ) the bitcoin is a big scam, there is a big syndicate behind that cause of zero price of bitcoin in the future. There plan is to close the bitcoin if the volume is too high to make a money. True or not, we need to be smart in our money, we don't need depend our profit in crypto-currency because no aasurance/stable income.
I know some people are hated bitcoin especially those who are losing their money in crypto investment at their first try.
Actually there is a big competition in the market place, not only between cryptocurrencies but also with the other forms of investment. That's why, issues and FUD's are normally happen to make others fall and be out of the track. But bitcoin is strong enough to face that certain issues and could still survived from crashing.

I really don't think that bitcoin will go to zero. Bitcoin will stay as it is. It is not something that will disappear now that it has been known in the whole world. With many peoples support, nothing else will happen to bitcoin. It will just pump and pump.

Rest goes to zero as well?

Which is kinda weird. Everything is measured in BTC. Which makes it the digital gold and bridge between $ (real world) anf crypto.

I am not thinking of that negatively. I am thinking that it could become more affordable but not that totally lost it's value.

If that will ever happen (because that will really never happen, IMO) then maybe BITCOIN is for free. No, it will start to rise again and that's the time where we can buy 1 BTC for 1$ again. Smiley

As at the time I read your post, Bitcoin's exchange rate has increased after a time when the exchange rate has fallen sharply. But I think if Bitcoin goes to zero then there will be other currencies replacing Bitcoin. Except for Bitcoin, there are other potential Altcoin partners such as Ethereum, Litecoin, which promise to replace Bitcoin if Bitcoin goes to zero. So invest in Altcoin instead of Bitcoin because 2018 will be Altcoin's boom year.

Same. Worst case BTC is replaced by another, better crypto, but in the meantime it will never go to zero because eventually people will want it as a colelctible even if it isn't used as a currency.

Your logic is flawed. Bitcoin will never go to zero, because by nature is is infenitiely divisible.

I think at this poitn we could agree someone will always be willing to buy Bitcoin even if it falls out of mainstream use. In such a case, it would even be worth less than 1 Satoshi each, but people would still want it.

I do not think so many people are using bitcoin and many believe it here so it will not go down 0 price because we all have confidence in bitcoin and most of it is rich and it also puts all the money they can the bitcoin will be zero, and maybe it will be a bit too confident when it comes to their process. But then the investors will be depending on whether they buy bitcoin or not, when it loses the price.

In my own opinion, It does not matter even if bitcoin will go down to zero because there are still altcoins who are competing to increase its value on the market and since most of the investors are focusing on bitcoins then altcoins are decreasing its value in the market.

Well, I agree that this could be weird as well since Bitcoin has been in the cryptocurrency world for about 10 years. Bitcoin has made it successful and it will be harder for many to let go down of it's value. Bitcoin can do the same thing again and again as many people believe in it more that ever.

If for example eth on an exchange is measured in btc and btc goes to zero isnt eth then zero as well?

Sure, Bitcoin is a pioneer of cryptocurrencies and every cryptocurrency measured in BTC or we can say evaluated in BTC units. These units can be traded independently on exchanger against BTC and Fiat as well. In such scenario if price of Bitcoin goes down its doesn't means Price of that independent cryptocurrency  will also goes to down. There are possibilities of rise of new cryptocurrencies, more fair and useful than Bitcoin which can overtake Bitcoin in every aspect.

There is a possibility but I don't think the other cryptocurrencies will follow because many of them like Etheriums and Litecoins can stand on their own even without the leading crypto out there. Inspite of the death of bitcoins, other cryptocurrencies will flourish because a majot competitor has disappeared.

There are so mane people that have a proboem with the transaction fee, may be the increasing of bitcoin price will be slower, but I agree with you that bitcoin will not goes to zero. Bitcoin is good invention which very superior in term of transaction.

That theory could not happen at any angle, people who are loyal to Bitcoin will still make its price to a good one, not zero but in a way of something they want it to be.

If bitcoins goes to 0 valve most of the things will be go to zero due to most of things now have been value by bitcoins. And  the other hand there will be many replacement for the bitcoins.Therefor no need to worry about if BTc become 0 value.

Yes I completely agree as blockchain is a base of future businesses. And for more transparent and convenient businesses there are many altcoins are already working on large efforts to give more practical decentralized solutions. In such movement bitcoin will be stand alone with its own existence, importance and value with quite bigger exchange price against fiat in coming future.

While other altcoins will be dominated more and preferable according to their structure of nature of environment of blockchain.

First thing there is no logic in the statement bitcoin if goes to zero. Second thing blockchain is the future in financial sector and other all documentation also there will be no midman like banks and brokers and accountants etc. So based on the fact bitcoin wont go zero and the fee for sure very shortly sortout if not altcoin will compete easily with bitcoin same like NOKIA phone bitcoin will fall down only but for sure not to be zero.

There will be no problem because there are other coins ready to replace bitcoin.
But for now and the next few years it seems unlikely, though bitcoin mining rates are getting harder and need superior mining equipment, but will be in accordance with the results it gets.
For example, the bitcoin exchange rate of $ 20,000.00, the price of bitcoin miner equipment reaches $ 15,000.00, to mine 1000k satoshi, it takes about 100 days to get one bitcoin, I do not think professional miners will ever wander this opportunity, and it goes on and on.
Especially for those who have worked on the big whales of bitcoin miners, will never stop mining,
they will stop when:
their government forbids bitcoin mining so miners will be like rats [miners] pursued by [their government] cats and ultimately cat winners.
The power supply for the miner was revoked due to late payment of the bill.
Internet services are stopped by their government which prohibits bitcoin mining.
God has called the miners.

Based on what we say if bitcoin goes to zero I don't think there is no grounds to be zero at any stage because the bitcoin created the space which this world has to accept cryptocurrency and Microsoft Mr.Bilgates keeping its bulls eye in it so the bitcoin growth not decided through its fee structure based on its technology and the requirement in the financial sector.
