Hi all,

I have sweped bitcoin into my electrum wallet.
They are listed in the History and I see them as Coins in the Coins tab.

I am trying to send the coins to my Bitbox wallet but I cannot broadcast the transaction.
This is probably the wrong way.

How can I send my btc to my other wallet?

Thanks for your help.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Is the transaction in your history list confirmed? Does it have a green tick? If so, you should be able to send the coins... what error are you getting when you try to send your coins?

Hi HCP,

Thanks for the repy.
It has a green tick in front of it.

By importing the key's the wallet is watch only.
This is the only wallet i can see the bitcoin.
I want to transfer the coins to my bitbox cold storage.
The only way i can do that is to recieve them.

Thanks

So did you import or sweep? Did you use import/sweep private keys or addresses?

By importing the key's the wallet is watch only.
If the wallet is "watch only"... then you DID NOT import the private keys... This wallet has NO private keys, so all you can do is "look" at the transactions/addresses/coins... hence the name "watch only". You will NOT be able to send coins from this wallet.

How did you create this wallet? Did you just import some addresses from somewhere? where is the wallet that has the private keys for these addresses? Huh

Hi all,

I followed these istruction on Youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zFtMJNJ6Ow

Ik setup Bitcoin classic but it took weeks to sync and it hangs on 2 weeks left.

I had some bitcoin in the Bitcoin classic wallet and swepped the private key's into the Electrum wallet.

Then I bought some more bitcoin wich ended up in my watch only wallet somehow?

Added:

Succes, I made a standard wallet in Electrum and swepped the key into that.
Now I can Broadcast the change and broadcast the update to the ledger.

Thanks for clarify the workings of Electrum.

BTW; Is there a command in the Electrum console like the dumpprivkey in the Bitcoin Classic Wallet?

go to tools > network > proxy tab. Make sure there is no proxy configured there. Then switch the electrum server you are connected to: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-switch-to-a-different-electrum-server/
