...
If you think exploding PSUs, inadequate packaging, shipping damage, and half-baked drivers don't matter to customers you should check out the KnC thread, where there are dozens of pages devoted to those problems.

HashFast has taken great care to ensure their customers won't be bothered by those issues.
...

...and ensured this in the most radical way possible -- by not shipping product. Cool

No product shipped=no product damaged in shipping, no power supplies to explode.

If I sell you equipment that makes bitcoins using 500GH/s and offer to ship it (per our plan) in October if you pay a very high premium. Then fail to send it within that time frame....

What you get is a machine that produces less product (bitcoins) as the days roll forward. Every 11 days, the machine losses a percentage of it's productive capacity.

If in the time from October till December the machine lost -90% of it's productive capacity....then a representative being "happy" to announce a +25% increase in efficiency makes no literal sense.

Why would someone be happy about a meager increase in efficiency if by the time it ships it will be completely negated by rising difficulty when it gets into it's customers hands? The machine might not even pay itself off due to decreasing efficiency at producing bitcoins.

HashFast still anticipates shipping Batch One before the Dec 31 deadline.

If we fail to ship within the advertised Oct-Dec time frame, refunds will be issued.

All Batch One orders come with the Miner Protection Plan, providing up to 400% more hashpower than initially purchased.

This MPP has been upgraded twice, free of charge.

The first upgrade changed the raw chips into complete miniboards.

The second upgrade started the MPP countdown on Oct 31, instead of the shipping date.

And now, HashFast is giving its customers an extra 25% initial hashing power beyond the advertised spec.

Those are three significant factors giving HashFast customers a good chance to keep up with the rising difficulty (which is beyond our control).

So what your saying is that Hashfast doesn't care about its customers because Hashfast anticipates GUARANTEES no returning customers even with MPP that will basically return 0 RIO when every other ACSI companies go online. Hashfast lied knowing that they would not be able to ship End of Oct 31, 2013.

all that doesnt matter since you guys are 2 months late.
Huh  "2 months" ago was Oct 13.  Where did you get the idea Oct 13 was our shipping deadline?

Is HashFast shipping today? No? HashFast is right on track to be "2 months late."

The earliest possible ship date wasn't until about a week after that.   Huh

I see you've learned the fake "earliest possible ship date" terminology. Nice post-sale invention, but has no basis in reality.

The actual deadline is Dec 31 and we still anticipate shipping Batch 1 before then.  Otherwise refunds will be issued.

No, the actual deadline is October.

We will be shipping in October.

HashFast's chips are about 3 times more powerful when compared on a GH per sq.mm basis.

HashFast is shipping with top-shelf quality Sea Sonic PSUs, so our customers won't have to put up with exploding/self-immolating units like KNC's did.

In addition, HashFast lined up an exclusive with CIARA, which means HashFast machines will be assembled and shipped with utmost expediency (no random guys helping load some random van), in professional/durable packaging.

That means double-walled boxes, so HashFast customers' hardware won't arrive broken like so much of KNC's did.

Finally, (again unlike KNC) HashFast has been working closely with ckolivas for a long time to ensure cgminer works flawlessly with our innovative new GN Protocol, Global Work Queue, etc.

After 70 days mining every one of my batch #1 Jupiters have mined aprox. 50 BTC each - let's see how many BTC will your batch #1 units mine in their first 70 days of life.

That (BTC MINED/DAY) is the only thing that matters right now. Power costs are so ridiculously marginal at this stage that bragging about efficiency is just ludicrous.

I'm glad you are satisfied with your past ROI, but don't see the use or validity of comparing it to future returns.

In fact, the hash power which earned you that nice ROI in the past is exactly why future ROIs will be lower!

You could go all the way back to Gen One Avalons if you really want to highlight the past vs future contrast.

HashFast cannot control difficulty, nor make investment/speculation/gambling decisions for its customers.

We can however learn from KNC and others' mistakes, and control our choices of flawless cgminer support, high-quality Sea Sonic PSUs, world-class CIARA assembly, and professional logistics which includes packaging adequate to prevent damage in shipping.

Judging by the uproar in the KnC thread(s) over these issues, they do matter to many customers.

Best,

-HF_CL

They enjoy the exorbitant privilege of bilking the American economy with extortionary transaction rates. They are scared of Bitcoin. And they should be. It offers transparency, cost efficiency and anonymity.” - Max Kaiser

This guy is starting to sound like BFL josh, angry at all his customers. Don't talk shit about KNC, they actually shipped product, and it is making people BTC every day. You shipped... a dream? Months late your hardware will arrive after the difficulty has already been raised. When you originally promised to ship, you would have been the ones making people back their coin. Your hardware coming out now is too slow. Are you going to ship people 4x their initial orders in time for it to count or just hold your hands over your ears and pretend you can't hear the screaming?

HashFast anticipates shipping Batch 1 before the Dec 31 guaranteed delivery date.

If the machines are actually late (IE don't ship before Dec 31 deadline) HashFast will issue refunds.

Flawless cgminer support, high-quality Sea Sonic PSUs, world-class CIARA assembly, and professional logistics which includes packaging adequate to prevent damage in shipping may not matter to you, but do matter to many other customers.

Well Hashfast did say they studied BFL extensively in a video interview recently so... not too surprising Roll Eyes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yj-mmnRWYc&t=185

At the end he mentions "we're really excited to be delivering products in the next 3-4 weeks".

So that's about November 28th + 3-4weeks =

19th Dec to 26th Dec 2013.

Huh  I never claimed to have shipped anything, where did you get that idea?   Huh

HashFast does have a single chip running (underclocked) at 500GH, which is an impressive feat.

KnC shipped hardware, and we have benefited by learning from their mistakes.

It's not "bashing" to acknowledge their issues with PSUs, shipping/packaging, and drivers.

It's not "riding their coat tails" to explain the exact steps HashFast has taken to avoid the unfortunate problems experienced by KNC.

When companies compete to offer better products and services to the public, it's a good thing and we all profit!   Smiley

It's still yet to be seen if batch one will actually make profit above their initial investment or not.

If the MPP does come on time and on spec, yeah it could be possible.
