The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

@padrino, they already retained a first level silicon valley lawyer.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

as i see it, the only ones that COULD be able to get some of their BTC back are those who ordered BEFORE august 15th. cause afterwards the TOS changed and we all agreed to USD refunds.
The TOS never mentioned USD refunds until December.

August 25-26 TOS still had no USD refund in it

HashFast REFUND ! I am a HashFast's Batch 1 customer and I want full 100% BTC refund.

In fact it says that they would refund 'The Payment'.  It doesn't get any clearer than that.

@padrino, they already retained a first level silicon valley lawyer.

That's good news, the poster implied he was going to negotiate with the CEO himself since they have "talked" before and his language made me think we was not a Laywer

There was 2 prices:
one fixed in USD and another variable one in BTC, I paid one in BTC and due back one in BTC
HF could have, and other companies did, fixed price in BTC and left USD to fluctuate

HF's later amendment of the TOS to specify refund in USD is a clear indication that previous TOS had two ways for refund based on the way payment was made in USB or BTC

HashFast REFUND ! I am a HashFast's Batch 1 customer and I want full 100% BTC refund.

I am not a lawyer, but I am working on getting one for all who want.
I am not expecting that HF CEO will talk to me beyond agreeing to have his lawyer to contact me or my lawyer.
I will not disclose who other people are who want refund, I will just talk about getting parties to talk.

Nah, if he worked for HF, I think his name was John Scrotum.  I did some googling on John a few days ago.  Such a sad case.

He seems to have started out as an idealist, researching ecology activism, maybe even doing a little nonprofit work in Massachusetts.

Then something apparently went terribly wrong.

He moved to the Bay Area and descended into marketing porn involving women having plastic bags placed over their heads and thrust underwater while being penetrated by dangerously large objects. (And in addition to marketing apparently had his own production company too!  I wonder what kinds of sadistic torture, I mean, "entertainment" videos he produced.)

But he's moved from capitalizing on abuse of "models".  Now he abuses his customers. He's a principal in Hashfast.

One wonders how this kind of thing happens to nice boys from Illinois.

ALWAYS BET ON iCE...

Since you like to bet, how about accepting mine?

I have 5 BTC that says HashFast will not ship a working miner containing Golden Nonce chips to even one customer in 2013.  (It has to be physical delivery.  Hosting doesn't count.)

Care to put up 5 BTC of your own against that?

I think I love you bogart.

I accepted Bogart's bet, on his conditions (ckolivas doesn't count) and even offered to double the stakes.

He has yet to respond.  I wonder why?

Your acceptance is acknowledged.  I didn't see your response at first since it came some days later and I don't frequent this thread.

No thanks on the doubled stakes.  I'd rather not tie up that much BTC.

Your bet may be rigged, as the icebeaker may in fact be the head of hashfast!! Watch out, he will ship one out just to win the bet.

Indeed there is risk involved.  I was not impressed with his waiting 5 days until new information was posted and then coming forth with "you're on."

But I already made the commitment when I first posted the proposal, so...

Bogart, has icebreaker paid his bet yet??

No, I've not heard from him.

Unfortunately I think the terms are too ambiguous for me to declare victory.  I really need to learn to write more like a lawyer.

I'd be happy to call it inconclusive with no BTC changing hands.  I'll see what he says.

I don't think IceBreaker to be an account that was rented to HF. I think that IceBreaker was paid (hourly, because he acted like so), to troll us (and especially me).

I think that john or someone else took over the HF_CL account, the way he writes has changed.

Someone else at HF created that magnificous suckpoppet accounts like HarrisonS (you can see it from the way they write, you can distinguish between a complete ignorant and someone who knows something).

Anyway, none of this has no real importance.
