What a depressing silence.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

I'm not very optimistic about them having extra chips in the first run since they have said the first run was a engineering run. I was just being extremely wishful. Lets hope they put in the 2nd and 3rd wafer run orders in. Or else we will be waiting some time for MPP chips because of the new years(Chinese).

Where did they say that?

What do you all figure the probability that HashFast WILL deliver by December 31st? I'm thinking around 70% chance. If they had some pictures of wafers/silicon, I'd think higher.

I think 90-95%, they are heavily incented to.   They have posted the wafers.

They have? I've seen a blurb they posted about getting them, but no pictures.

I swear they posted a picture of the wafers arriving but now I do not see it anywhere.   I do not think I am mistaken but I have not followed this thread as closely since the value proposition is outside my range with the projected delays and the forum has little to no news, mostly just BFL stuff now.

I sent an email to hasfast day after the delay news was posted, asking for a refund or upgrade to a sierra.
Got a reply few hours later saying No to the refund and they would get back to me about upgrading.

Now they just ignore any emails i send. Even taco ignored a question i asked last week  post #2424.

The rig cost me 45 BTC ($7k Aus), excluding import fees i probably wont get it till January since customs will be closed at xmas till after the new year,
@ 0.31 kw/h any Roi i might of earned set sail a few weeks ago.

Wafer = Substrate ??

No.  Wafer is the uncut silicon.  The wafer is cut into individual dies (about 1000 per wafer).  The dies are then attached to the substrate (4 dies per chip in this case) and enclosed with a metal "lid" to form a single chip.

This is the kind of progress we like to see.  Is there an update on the substrate?

What's your estimate of days needed from wafer to chip if they do it locally in California?
