Am I missing any other parties which acted as agents for hashfast and concretely promoted the belief that if hashfast failed to deliver they would refund the full amount paid?

Can't we give google reviews of their website as well? So when people search for hashfast it will show their reviewed rating right there next to their website url in google results?

Maybe so.  But if a large proportion of the B1 customers got together in something like, say, the "Hashfast Customers Protection Union", set up a nice website, agreed to and made reasonable demands of the company - for information and compensation - then I think we could get something even better.  

Like some nice articles in the national press.  All this interest in BTC that has generated miner orders is interest that can also focus attention on problems at miner companies.  Hell, the NYT ran a feature on a mining company last week.  

Headline:  "Bitcoin mining company sees its customers rebel"  or "San Francisco bitcoin startup faces backlash from angry customers".

It sounds like they're saying you can choose— within 15 days— to lock in an 86% loss, or endure potentially perpetual additional delays or failures to deliver.

Knowing that there's no way for us to fight this legal battle in 15 days.

There are a bunch of feedbacks. But it only shows if you trust the other users giving them the feed backs. Click "show untrusted feedback" and you will see all of our posts.

the arbitrary deadline means nothing to the FTC. It is against the law to do this, and they will pay. IF you agree to their contract, you sign away your rights to recourse.

And just a small little aside here...

We're missing very important data points on taking a decision about refunds, namely:

1) when and how the company will make good on the MPP, and;

2) when the company will ship (paid) upgrade boards, and;

3) what the final specs of the equipment are.

I think a reasonable person would see these as mitigating circumstances vis-a-vis Hashfast's insistence that you cancel within 15 days, because without those clarifications, many customers don't have sufficient information to make an informed decision, and the company seems to be deliberately withholding this information.

This is admittedly rather time-sensitive, but if anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to ask 'em!

Not surprisingly, this was indeed one of the questions that came up last night.

And, as of a few days ago, ... ...  it looks like we're probably going to slip, by about a week.

Ironically, not because of the silicon, even though that is the part of the system that takes the longest to manufacture. That's going through the foundry smoothly. But we ran into a delay sourcing one of our other components.

We've now found an alternative source. But that delay means it'll be challenging for us to ship finished systems before the end of October.

It's disappointing, but unfortunately these things happen. I'm glad we've made it this far through the process, and are still so close to our target date.

(I'm watching every day to see how close Cointerra will come to their targeted tapeout date.)

I don't understand this at all.
Anyone can go to farnell or newark and order rolls upon rolls of whatever components would be necessary, with like 40 different options of alternatives in an instant. It would ultimately raise the manufacturing price to do it that way, but surely these brought quite a healthy profit margin in the first place.
