Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Just got a FedEx overnight shipping notification from ciara
I can only assume it's my batch two BJs.

What do you have left for delivery Taco? Upgrade? Initial B1? Obviously Mpp.

Nope, never bought anything except these two B2 BJs without MPP.

Well, a big "f*ck you" to Hashfast for figuring out another way to screw batch-1 customers even more. They shouldn't be doing anything at all with subsequent batches before honoring all commitments to batch-1, like the damn MPP that got us all to buy from them and fund the operation in the first place. The same MPP that they now refuse to give any shipment-timeframe information about.

the HFB comes with a one page manual "Welcome to your new Baby Jet" and a 3 (three) page "Cover our ass Limited Hardware Warranties" stating you are SOL when the hardware does not work as it's always your fault when it breaks.
Now, this is funny.

It's clear the lawyer has completely taken over any common sense
Looks like so... Btw, have anyone ever noticed that one of the business address we have of HF is exactly the same as the lawyers' business address?

HashFast Technologies LLC
649 Mission Street 5th Floor
San Francisco, CA 90291

Strategic Counsel Corp.
649 Mission Street, Fifth Floor
San Francisco, CA 94105

Did anyone notice they [seemingly] intentionally used a fake Zip code for the address?

I can only assume they did not want any "official mail" coming to their inbox?

Quick serve them in small claims court and then win on the default judgement. [just kidding!]

I think we all lost.  I paid 22 BTC for a miner that's going to return me 3.3 BTC.

Yes, I realized this when I sent them my refund request.

See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.msg4378282#msg4378282

You can actually see the receipt shows 'Venice CA' never realized it was LA until I got the "Undeliverable as Addressed" notification from USPS. I assume it was a mistake from HF.

Alright, I have an unofficial high probability statement to make.

You will not be receiving your Batch 1 MPP in the next 5 days. Please forward all complaints to refunds@hashfast.com

HashFast, please prove me wrong....especially in writing with that DeCastro account.

My uneducated guess is that MPP won't ship while they have time at Ciarra booked.  Once they lose their slot, they will be more likely to ship modules/products that don't require Ciarra assembly (rather than just sit on them).  I am assuming that they have plenty of modules available and assembly is the long pole.

Batch-1 customers are looking at roughly double your loss (a little more, actually), while they were the ones taking the most risk, and providing the most important early funding for Hashfast's entire R&D and production effort.

I fully appreciate that HF has screwed ALL customers over, but in a just world, HF would endeavor to "make things right" taking the above into account (ie, proportional to material risk-adjusted loss, which is by far the most for Batch-1 customers).

Since that the thread is almost dead i have a little question to throw around...
What % of batch 2 hasn't received a shipping notification?

Dare i guess... 50%?

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

From what I get some of Hashfast batch#1 customers are content with getting something in the mail despite not getting restitution based on what the original terms of the transaction were (BTC terms).

For those of us in batch 1 that didn't try to refund, we've mostly gotten hardware in the last few days.  So the priority is to get that hardware up and hashing reliably, and to start understanding its idiosyncrasies.  So people are focused on that.  Nuts and bolts issues.

But all the other issues haven't gone away, especially the MPP. These BJs alone are not going to ROI, even for USD purchasers.  People are just focused elsewhere, trying to get their hashing operation in order.  They'll be back here soon, probably more focused than even on the MPP.

Food for thought:

This is going to be a bigger mess if...

1: The court finds that you "spent customers money" to hire lawyers. (That is not an "acceptable use of customer/investor funds".)
2: They find you in contempt of "placing customers at risk", by "spending money on risky things". (Like buying hardware that you are not even sure will function, or is required, or has not been "approved for use".)
3: Refused ANY "reasonable" refund, at any point in time.
4: Attempted to "hide", or "disassociate", critical contact information, or "pretend" to "be bankrupt". (Announce you are closing shop, and walk away without having filed a lawful claim first.)

You can't just "pretend to be a business". If you "claim to be a business", or attempt to "operate like a business", you usually need the proper license and protections that most businesses are required to have. (For "consumer protection.")

You can not operate as a "high-risk" or "high-loss", investment broker, without the proper license. (When you spend others money, for goods and services that "might not work, or have risk and high losses", that makes you a broker of technology. That makes the customer an "investor", who, at least, "needs to be informed that any and all funds are not secured and can be potentially lost." Since that is not a normal assumption for a "customer" buying from a "business/store/shop".)

Takes more than a single idea to make a business. However, it only takes a single idea to ruin an imaginary business.

Next time, start with hiring a lawyer. Then invest your own money in the foundation. Then secure customers funds, and use that secured funds to initiate a loan for the actual building of things. At no point in time, should you have EVER used the customers money directly, to pay for things. Which includes spending customers money to hire lawyers. (Which you will have to prove to a judge, now that I said it.)
Different company, same application of logic?

I would say most of us BTC B1-ers have gone through the stages of grief and are now at acceptance.

I think a few were holding out hope that they would be prompt with the MPP once they started shipping in bulk.
