EDIT : Unless, of course, they cleared the backlog within the time it took to write the first sentence.  Grin

They could have written the first sentence, then cleared the backlog before continuing to write  Tongue

They consider the backlog cleared by sending that information free email to everyone who has ever contacted them.

Look at this auction - this appears to be a BabyJet with an upgrade kit, complete with 2 Power Supplies (and fitting pipes):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=111283047373

I thought nobody has yet received any upgrade kits?

Could be just 2 Bj's in one case. I have 12 BJ's. I wanted to put them all in 6 cases to save space. He has a cable joining them today.

Could be just 2 Bj's in one case. I have 12 BJ's. I wanted to put them all in 6 cases to save space. He has a cable joining them today.

I thought about that - that makes sense if you keep them.

However, if you sell them - why on earth would you want to keep an empty BabyJet case for yourself?  You can easily get $1000 more selling 2x 400's complete with cases etc. compared to selling a single 800 unit.

PS: What do you mean by "he has a cable joining them"?

I am here working at the DataCenter working on the BJ's. I have 12, want to put 2/case.

Where do I plug the motherboard power for the 2nd BJ into on the Power supply?

There is one port labeled "MB" on the power supply. It is already taken by the first BJ.

Thanks
On the BJ, there should be 2 sets of PCI-E cables coming out of the PSU, and one 5-pin control cable.  One of the sets of the PCI-E cables along with the 5-pin connector are already connected to the existing (top) board.  The other set is zip-tied up by the PSU.

You'll need a chaining cable (16 pin ribbon) and the screws/standoffs to add 2 boards to one BJ.

Once you have that, simply mount the second board, connect the chaining cable from the top to the bottom board (using the 2 closest 16 pin connectors), MOVE the 5-pin cable to the second board, and then connect the spare set of PCI-E cables to the new lower board.

if the radiator of the 2nd (upgrade?) module is placed in the front, I doubt there is a need for different tubeing. Is it just rotating the cooler head by 90°?

Why is just all around HF so untransparent?

is it maybe something to do with the fact that the boards move in and out?

That's a good news, thanks for sharing.

Edit, it looks like that their ToS are offline.

interesting. 2 TB +- 20%.

So -20% == 1600 MHz.

Is this what the MPP is going to look like? The timing seems to fit.

Yes, companies building bitcoin printing machines and not shipping them on time after having proved to have the "tech ready" are probably low on cash.

Legend, the deadline for refunds for batch 3 is the 15th of March.

Another interesting point.  The Evo 3 is the same 3 boards, although I would expect these to be the fixed model.  Also they quote different hash rates for the chips in different places.  The Yoli  boards are 675GHs while the chips sold alone are 800GHs (over clocked).  I think you're upgrades are the Yoli boards, minimum order 10.

I guess this is wishful thinking but it seems that since the new boxes are shipping right after the last email said all of batch 4 would have shipped, it seems that they have their manufacturing pipeline up now...

Yes, wishful thinking.  It appears to me that most of batch 2 hasn't even shipped yet.  With all the delays, even if their sheet works better now (and that's taking them at their word), they are still trending further behind the curve.

The EVO seems to be a bit overprice, no?

$6800 for 2TH in April-ish, where you can get 2TH worth of Ants at the end of February (guaranteed) for $9000.

In March you can make $3500 with 2TH, meaning the EVO is at least $1300 too much. That's if it ships on April 1st, which we all know... it won't.

Realistically it will ship at end of June, making it about $3000 overpriced.

I was almost going to speculate with my 2 TB disks (i bought dozens of them because i needed them) after the 2011 Thailand floods, but i've never seen anyone making 3500$ in a month with 2 TB.

TH guys, TH.

(sorry, i had nothing better to say Smiley)

I think the Evo 3 is just the old Sierra made with the new boards that aren't f*k'd.  I'm sure you could get 675 out of the current boards if not more, (unless they melt at that speed).  They did this kind of run up for Batch 3 & 4 and I was enough of a moron to believe them when I saw someone I'd heard of form the Rails community as a VP.  But it's a punch in the gut, "we'll deliver all of batch 4 by March 31st." then "come buy a better box if you pay today you'll get it first week of April." WTF?

I've also noticed that there are no Sierra's in the order chain...and it seems only IceDrill has gotten any.  I'll be following the federal court case to see what happens.

No they don't. They really don't.

They can't have "fast" in any part of their name.
