Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

still no news on batch 2 sierra's either!
On the other side, every dollar lost on Bitstamp counts Smiley

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

Erin has a lucrative career ahead of her as an expert witness testifying against Hashfast.  Any folks who are suing really should seek her out.  I'm sure she has quite a tale to share.
It would be interesting to hear the tale, but between the nda that she signed and everything else i don't really think it to be viable... (hey Erin, if you disagree just send me an email, my_nickname_here@gmail.com).

About John "leaving" only because he is not on that page anymore... Seriously?
Edit: people PMed me saying that he really left... Wut?

You have no idea what she did or did not sign.  Hashfast could hardly run a web page.  I wouldn't count upon them having the foresight to impose NDAs on their employees.

NDAs can't prevent anyone from disclosing criminal activity.

But I'm back to thinking they were mainly just stoopid.

And then, when they could have reached out to Batch 1 customers, they instead circled the wagons, locking themselves into what is apparently an ever-tightening spiral, a death spiral, around and around the drain...

To create proofs of their own ignorance by being unable to fix the scroll on their website since almost a week now.
Like if that helped them.

Next difficulty rise is going to kill us..

Why? It will be ≈22%, on the average as the last three: 22%, 19% and 19%.

I've had my Baby Jet during the last 2, I was in Batch 1. I used to get 1 BTC a day, not it's going to be ~.6, close to half.

Well, get used to it, amount of BTC mined reduced to 1/2 this month, and again to 1/4 next month, and 1/8 next month, and many months more in that rhythm, until we hit power consumption/BTC price equilibrity.

Um. Okay. You're not telling us anything new here that we don't already know.. But thanks for trying.

On another note, has anyone gotten word about upgrades or MPP? I've sent many emails but no responses as usual.

Interesting, I got an email today about the one I sent them on Feb. 16th the day after I was supposed to get my Sierra asking for a refund...today I get this....

Thank you for your inquiry.

We are currently receiving a very high volume of sales inquiries, and as a result, we might be slower to respond than usual. However, we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Please reply to this message if there's anything else we can do for you.

I emailed them a few times between the 7th and 16th. Friday night, I got one Email asking if I got the new SD card they sent me back on the 6th, and a few more saying that my ticket had been escalated to an engineer.

Crazy.

Anyone recall the mystery "executive officer", Peter Smith, listed on HashFast's Form D filing with the SEC?

http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1584096/000158409613000002/xslFormDX01/primary_doc.xml

There is a rumor on Reddit that someone with the same name offered to help bail out Gox...

Seems like a really good catch, but if so, why his middle name isn't listed in the SEC form?
