Check out our new dynamic pricing feature! Sellers now have the opportunity to list orders that adjust in price according to Bitstamp and Mt. Gox rates. With the dynamic nature of the value of Bitcoin, sellers can now feel safe in knowing that if Bitcoin suddenly goes to the moon or crashes, their coins will be appropriately and reflectively priced. Features include:

-Premium Pricing (+/- a desired percentage difference from the selected exchange rate)

-Four choices in price selection sources (Bitcoinaverage.com, Bitcoinaverage.com without MtGox data, MtGox, and Bitstamp)

-A selection of the 24 hour average, the last price, or whichever price is greater for the selected exchange.

The dynamic pricing feature is currently only available for orders in USD. The option of dynamic pricing for SEPA orders is planned, as well as a broader selection of exchange rates.

Hi,

I just checked your prices. The lowest ($396. and change ) are $15 above current mtgox, with some vendors asking over 450 USD per btc.

Ouch.

The dynamic pricing feature does not take into account the currency used (e.g. the USD exchange rate is still used with EUR offers).

Just a thought...

On your site, whenever there is a box to fill info into, you have a little question mark (?) next to the box. If a user clicks the "?", they get an explanation about what the box is for. That's good.

Did you think about using the free overlib.js script from http://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/? You simply hover your mouse of the "?" in order to get a little floating box, that disappears with mouseOut.

I would think that would be easier than clicking. You could probably still have the click option available for folks who needed to do a big study.

Just a thought.  Smiley

I haven't listed my coins for sale yet, but if I do, I would ask way over MtGox price. I don't care if I sell them or not. If nobody will pay my price, I'll just keep them. They're going to go to the moon, you know. Maybe not this time. Maybe not easily. But they will.

I'd say, if you have money invested in Bitcoin from back somewhere, and you haven't gotten your principal out yet, that's what I would aim for... breaking even. Then keep the rest to see what will happen.

Those prices were below MtGox's last price, you were probably comparing to the Gox 24 hour average. Our prices are similar to Localbitcoins.com.

The dynamic pricing feature does not take into account the currency used (e.g. the USD exchange rate is still used with EUR offers).

Other currencies are not able to listed with dynamic pricing yet, but by the end of the weekend this function will be introduced.

No, actually. I compared them with the mtgox "Last Price" number. I verified that amount on mtgox.com, Clark Moody, AND via an API call. I stand by what I said - at the time I calculated, the lowest price was > $15 above mtgox last.

Today's prices are a slight improvement though. Today you have two sellers that are "only" $10 US above current mygox LAST, with the rest above that significantly.

Also, your prices are NOT similar to localbitcoins. I won't bother with an example, since it would only take a couple of minutes for prospective customers to compare prices. Let's just say you are currently higher.

BTW, I should say that I DO really like your service. I've used it previously with no issues, and at that time the prices were quite in line. I definitely prefer it over localbitcoins. Unfortunately, at this point in time you can't quite capture my business.

I WILL check back on your site from time to time though. I got great service there, and I like it quite well.

Best of luck to you.

Sorry about that, perhaps you were right.

It is evident that the premium is becoming somewhat larger though. Seems to be sellers are reluctant to part with their Bitcoins at the moment.

Glad to hear you are a fan of our service though, we are always trying to make improvements.

Also another update, we support dynamic pricing for EUR orders too now!

Also another update, we support dynamic pricing for EUR orders too now!

Since programming is so much fun, how about an option, a checkbox, that allows a seller's price to remain at whatever high it reaches.

For example, let's say that MtGox reaches $1000. And let's say that I have my selling price set at 10% over MtGox. This would mean that when MtGox reached $1000, my selling price would automatically go to $1100, right?

Then lets's say MtGox dropped to $900. But the checkbox would allow my selling price to remain at the high of $1100 rather than dropping to the new rate of 10% over MtGox - $990.

Just a thought. Smiley

How about adding the 24 hour high price  in the drop down with 24 hour avg, last and max then?

That can be easily integrated and would have the same effect for 24 hours.

Once again, another update! We now support address generation for those of you who don't have a wallet yet!

Hi,

I am thinking about becoming a seller and was wondering if you could address some concerns and questions I have.

Why am I charged a 0.05 fee to withdraw my coins if I am seller?  Seems steep, especially if I want to try out with a small amount (like say 0.05).

What is the volume on your site?  I am concerned about depositing coins and having no buyers.

In the FAQs, it says the buyers have to send a copy of a receipt and then you will release the coins.  On the sellers side, it says coins aren't released until I confirm that the deposit was made - which one is it?

Have you had any problems with people generation fake deposit receipts?

Thanks guys!  Hope this all works out!

Hi Steelfox,

The 0.05 BTC is a processing fee. That fee was determined back in August, and has not been adjusted to reflect the recent price increase yet. We plan to reduce that fee to 0.02 BTC this week.

As far as volume goes, we are on Bitcoinity.org so that will show you detailed stats for our EUR and USD orders. A rough estimate would say we are having around 17 BTC trading a day.

The issue recently has been a lack of sellers putting their prices at Mt. Gox rate or lower. Instead they put additional premiums (as high as 15%). If you stay under Mt. Gox rate, your coins will sell within a few hours if you have a Bank of America (our most popular bank), Chase or Wells Fargo account.

As of the past few days, anything under $700 gets snatched up pretty quickly.

As for the sellers terms, I sent you a PM with some more explanation on that. Smiley

We haven't had any fraudulent receipts be processed yet.

Let us know if you have any other concerns!

Withdrawal fee reduced to .02 BTC and maximum single buy transaction limit added ($10,000). So far, we haven't had any transactions exceed this limit anyhow.

Nope, it is alive and well! Did you put the order up outside of business hours possibly?

Nope, you are correct and it is a bug inherent with our Dynamic Pricing feature right now. We are working on a fix still. Sorry for any inconvenience!
