Please to consider that this was a beta version, it's why the source was not available. Some miners have exploited a bug to get +50% of all coins, We can't continue to support this.

Neocoin will be relaunched without bug, fairer, without partners premine with a new website. The binaries and the source code will be really available at the same time. The starting difficulty will be higher. When the source code will be online, we won't change anymore, the genesis block will be definitive.

We won't stop this project, this coin is new (without copy/paste). We take lessons, everything was not perfect but we are convinced that Neocoin is the most advanced coin on the market and brings new things.

We will inform you as soon as possible.

Thanks for your support.

Neo8,

Could you share config settings, I'm still out of date, about 10 days, and can not synchronize

Quote
./neocoind getinfo
{
    "date" : "10/10/13 11:14:19",
    "version" : "v1.8.1-neocoin",

    "paytxfee" : 0.01000000,
    "errors" : "This is a pre-release test build - use at your own risk - do not  use for mining or merchant applications."
}

My diff is 930216 s =  10 d.

I'm up-to-date, build from scratch https://github.com/neocoin-project/neocoin.git

Quote
$ git pull
Already up-to-date.

My config looks like:
Quote
~$ cat .neocoin/neocoin.conf
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcport=8000
daemon=1
server=1
maxconnections=100
gen=0
testnet=0
listen=1

addnode=76.208.146.27:58888
addnode=88.82.177.234:55535

Please, share correct config file in the first message.

I'm not sure which ports are correctly, is it true:
rpcport=8000
port=8001

?

Or network under kind of attack? Why can't i complete synchronization?

There is no problem with synchronisation but your config file is wrong.
Delete* everything in the Neocoin data directory and Remove all nodes in your config file, you do not need add nodes.

Indeed, if you run the server mode, you need a config file. There is no problem with synchronization, but delete* everything in the Neocoin data directory and it will download and re-index the blockchain.

What are you mean, "server mode"?

I'm on Linux. How should I start neocoind?

As I noted, daemon want not start without config file, there need at least rpc username and password.

That is why I'm not understand what are you mean, "delete data dir"?

My pool gets a lot of orphans, sometimes over 50% with maybe 20 orphan blocks in a row. Some of my miners have reported this is occurring in other pools as well. Block notifications are working correctly on my servers end so looks to be coin related. Any chance of some investigation into this or is NEC dev pretty much dead?
