Firstly it isn't possible to mine bitcoin using your "home computer" or any other coin using the same because a typical "home computer" won't produce profitable output.

You need specialised machines called ASICs to mine Bitcoin, Litecoin etc.

An advanced version of "home computer" can be called as a "Mining Rig" that contains special parts know as "GPU" which will help you to mine different altcoins. Later you can convert those altcoins to Bitcoin or any other coin of your choice.
