Alright
"Bitcoin is king" "Bitcoin will keep growing" "Bitcoin is the leader" "Bitcoin will never be replaced" -newbie.
Why are people still so convinced about this?
Bitcoin is great, we learned a lot of it. Without Bitcoin we wouldn't have those other cryptocurrencies.
But just because Bitcoin is the pioneer doesn't mean it can't be replaced.
Bitcoin Cash is just a clone with bigger blocks, this will only solve the problem temporarely. So forget about it.
It's clear that Bitcoin isn't the best coin anymore. Problem is because of all this hype there is a lot of new dumb money that only see Bitcoin's insane price growth. That kind of people that leave their money on Coinbase is what I'm talking about (for long term).
If people would look at things more objectlively things wouldn't have gone this way.
I'm not naming other coins because I don't wanna make this a pump post.
Too much dumb investors these days.. Bitcoin is no longer useable in a normal way but noobs will never realize because they never make a transaction to their own wallets because they don't even know it's decentralized and stuff...
I hope Bitcoin will fail soon. It has had enough time to be adapted to its use of today. Why can't Bitcoin be as good as other and better crypto's? I have no idea. But in my eyes it's already game over for Bitcoin.

I can understand your feelings,you are just considering the thoughts that have been put up by newbie.You have to understand that these people are here just by the craze that they have towards bitcoin irrespective of its proper knowledge.Bitcoin way to difficult to crack.I am not a big fan of bitcoin but a lover of crypto and i don't want any coin to fall.See most of the your points are valid but you have admit that if bitcoin falls it will take atleast half of the alts with it and that is huge amount of loss. |

Believers - yes you are correct. Clever investors - no. Investors will not only look at the technology, they will also neutrally look at whether the price has any reasonable match with the product. And clearly we are now seeing just how poorly Bitcoin handles scaling, how poorly it acts as a store of value and how useless it is as a form of payment. Believers will HODL, while investors with GTHO (Get The Hell Out). |

i am a beginner and i do not invest on bitcon but on alt crypto currency because i see very high bitcoin graphics which make myself think harder to start all this and more alt crypto currency.

Its true that bitcoin is mostly dumped nowadays.Once lightning network gets activated,all transaction issues would get solved and bitcoin would get used as a currency for payment. You have not suggested any alternate for bitcoin and have just escaped by saying that you don't want to pump any other coin.But i would say that there is no substitute for bitcoin.I hope that even in future no other coin would face such critical conditions which bitcoin has faced and surpassed successfully. For example,no coin had ever undergone such huge volume of transactions as bitcoin did. |

The Bitcoin Core team gave us SegWit and there was consensus to implement it.... Now services are not using it. SegWit has solved some of the scaling problems and people simply ignore that. The Core team took it a step further and are working on the Lightning Network to make it even better... but this takes time. {You do not rush perfection and the security of a multi Billion Dollar technology}  So why are services not using SegWit? Why will they use Lighting if/when its deployed? Talking about this solutions is little different to pumping another coin in top 50, promises unfulfilled. Developers aren't going to push and drive use of those features. I dont know why, but there's clearly a problem as evidenced by the tx fee (940... 940/byte as i right this). No point calling bullshit on people telling you the house is on fire, ask where the fire is and look for a firehose. |

What I really don't get is why you guys won't just use your actual accounts to discuss what you claim to truly believe? By the way, that hashtag is now getting a lot of flak for demonstrating shilly behaviour, and by the likes of CNBC too, so I'd avoid adding that to your posts if you want to be taken seriously especially if you say you're not supporting BCH or maybe you don't realise that's now the BCH tagline? (Deal with it). Yes, I agree with some of what you say, I think a lot of "investors" are just here for the price, here for the fiat profit. They're not interested in actually using Bitcoin, never been and never will. Most of them just have numbers on Coinbase, will never actually send a single satoshi. And now with futures and what not coming up, you can even bet on price without ever needing to touch crypto. It won't fail soon, if it will. There are enough users and community people who were here long before price and mempool became hot topics, and they'll be here long after people move on to other cryptos, if that happens. While I disagree with OP that this is the end for bitcoin, I think we will recover from here. What's nice to see is that people are able to exit bitcoin right now and be in a much better position than the used to be. Positive stories will always attract more interest.

It is sad for me for the Bitcoin to be on this kind of situation. But i think this is the best time to explore other cryptocurrencies which are clearly better than the Bitcoin as of the moment. At least the Bitcoin made us realize that everything is possible. What i mean is every cryptocurrency could also sky rocket and i hope someday at least one of the other cryptocurrency would fix what's the Bitcoin did not tackle with less dumb people and newbie fanboys. |

Bitcoin is going down but in my opinion, if you are holding a bitcoin, do not worry too much because the bitcoin will rise again because I think this is profit taking activity for investors to prepare for the upcoming Christmas. Watch the market calmly, do not worry too much now that is not good for trader.

Yes bitcoin has some problems today because of network congestion and high transaction fee that's why there are other coins that can be an option to use as daily currency as it is impossible for bitcoin now to be such. If you chose to let go then it is your choice but for as long as bitcoin is one of the base currency in the cryptoworld then money will continue to flow in it. Another coin may take over the throne of bitcoin eventually but for as long as it is profitable then I will not let go of it.
