This sounds pretty legit, i can offer a couple of tips or two as i am an avid gamer, and i'm also helping one of my friends develop something as well.

1. How are you planning to do the layout of the game? Is it gonna be a top down rts style, or more of a 3rd person mmo sorta feel.

2. Did you ever think about trying something new with the concept. Like having a "PermaDeath" feature, something like "Realm of the Mad God", or "Day Z". It's just an idea, but you can run with it. You can set it up in a way, that your coins won't be affected by your death, but it does make the pace overall faster if your looking to go on that approach.

3. I see you put "Receive a coin when you kill a player (this is taken from the cost of the “dead” character.. e.g. 1 coin)". You can make it so that you get a coin taken away from you if you kill a player that is "off limits" (ex. have been killed to frequently). It would help new players who just start out to actually have fun with the game, instead of having that snowball effect where more experienced players are farming them for coin, xD.

4. "Characters can make one action per block. For example, move one square and/or cast an ability (or speak)". I didn't understand what you meant by this (sorry for my idiocy, Tongue). I'm not to sure if it has something to do with blocks dealing with BTC, or that there is literally "blocks" that there going to be moving on, something like final fantasy tactics.

5. I love your ideas on the classes (i'm a sucker for diversity Smiley) If you can, Try adding more classes.

(i would add more, but i dont want to bore you with so much reading, xD)

Also if you need help with anything dude, I'm more of a gamer than i am a BTC guru. So if you need help or need some new ideas. Feel free to contact me whenever, I always love seeing people try new things. And since BTC is pretty dam new, the potential is unlimited (depending on how much work your trying to put in)  Wink

Chronokings

1. Top Down - probably - if we can find some investors or professionals looking to contribute, it could be 1st or 3rd person (3d) - although it would probably play more like HeroQuest/SpaceHulk instead of realtime movement -- although Free Look without time/blocks flowing could still work.

2. PermaDeath = yes, it will be perma death if you die.

3. A New Player and a vet player will probably be on the same "level", unless the Vet has some ultra rare item. - Chronokings Map will be very big, and may take days or weeks to cross the map. 1 square (move) per block (1min) will take a long time to move anywhere.

4. Time in Chronokings (and huntercoin) is in blocks. aka Chronon, 1 Quantum of Time. It's impossible to do anything else in between the blocks, except maybe "queue" some moves.

5. Yep the more the merrier Cheesy

Its great I like the idea and the game too.

The Chono game, if its good, and the minecraft/runescape crowd gets to know about this game, millions would play.

I have some ideas for it... I have played alot of MMOs so I know what people love.

- Make your chars not die in one shot, armor items could help with this. I see you already plan a healer, this will probably be done.
- 2 equipment item slots, 1 defensive, 1 weapon. If you die you drop 1 of them. (Effective item sink, so not all ppl will have full items after 1 week.)
- Marketplace to sell and buy items.
- Random generated stats(with some limits) like diablo games for items could keep it interesting for much, much longer.
- Item enchantments (+1, +2, +3, +... -ing them) with some cost and and probability for failing would make for a simple, but addictive alchemy, the higher the +, the bigger chance of fail. Each + raises base stats. (Effective money sink, so not all ppl have 1000s of coins after a week.)
- Have a safe zone, no attacks in faction bases, or main base. So you CAN logoff with peace.
- Dead body stays on ground for 2-3 rounds and healers can revive dead characters while they are there, for other players too(so alliances make sense). Their gold/items don't stay with them when that happens.

Also, I would be careful with the invisibility, if you still send the movement info to all network, they might be hacked clients that ignore invisibility flag.

thanks for the suggestions..

you won't be able to log off though ://

Invis:
they won't be able to hack client to see.. ..

there will be no safe zones, but people can build walls and barricade (Fort?) themselves in.. (around harvest areas.. like castles)
crossing chronoking world can take a week or more.. maybe 1 month.

Chronokings will be more of a game, were as huntercoin is more specifically human mining crypto currency

It will be a while before we start REAL development.. we will also need funding/investors.. but for now we will concentrate on Huntercoin

Hi snailbrain ,

Do you have some rough timeline for chronokings, shall we expect anything for the next 6 months ?
Also, You did run a meaningful experiment on Huntercoin but do you intent to switch your dev mojo back on the original plan  ?

Hi, I just wanted to bump this very old thread with an update on the first post.

First of all we have been working on this project on and off for quite some time... albeit in a bit of a stealth mode.

In the time since we had started we have added multiple upstream fixes and updates to Bitcoin Core by working on this project.
We've also carried on the function of merged mining thus giving more incentive to mine Bitcoin itself.

That out of the way, Chronokings is now almost a reality for those that are still interested in this tech and project.

A Trailer here > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlLDIHWFSuo&feature=youtu.be

and some of the game information here > https://taurion.io/game-information/

Some of the pre-alpha gameplay > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPLBKPYn1LI

Definitely happy to discuss

I'm bumping because of the discovery of property titles on NMC and Emblem Vault resizing in these anceint NFT and being wrapped up good to ERC-721 with all data intent over selling these vintage pioneer NFL into' the mainstream before eth, others. They've more fun too! I wish the apps came back. Doge Reboot is doing quite well competition. It's 7 years old fast settlement and Emblem Vault away from being a UTXO, ancient NFT, only to have an ERC-721 "wallet" to protect its wrapped travels. Just in time for dinner Emblem.Vault FTW!

I was a huge fan of a MMO (Text based) RPG game called BatMud (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BatMUD) which was created in 1990. I was absolutely obsessed with this game and I would have been a full blown addict, IF it was linked to some kind of Crypto coin back then.

The day when they release a game like https://www.bat.org/ (BatMUD) with Crypto currency as a in-game currency... I will go nuts. If you ever want to design something like that, please notify me when it is done. (I will be your #1 Fan/Player/Promoter)  Wink

Would CoffeeMUD suffice?
