A few days ago one of the cables connecting my HDD went caput, and I had to take it into the apple store. When I got my computer home, I had to re sync multibit, which I found quite odd considering nothing had been changed about the computer. So I let it sync, and the wallet files that are backed up have a password that I can't seem to remember. I remember when I was backing the files up, I wasn't adding any passwords to it just to test it out. But now when I try to import them, it is telling me my password is wrong, blah blah blah. I am wondering what my options are here to try and get it recovered?

You have two options.

1º- Remember password, and boom, everything is youre's!

2º- Dont remember the password, and boom, you lose everything!

Easy as that.

And when you created your wallet, you set a password right ? If you didnt send Bitcoins lately, you might forgot your wallet is password protected...
