Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I want to do something for a homeless children or spend a whole day to oldies people because its Christmas and they deserved to be happy even once in awhile.

Well, I think that the best Christmas gift I'd like to receive is bitcoin if I were given it, I would be very happy and probably like any other person in this chat room.
