Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

You need bitcoin first, and then you need to move those bitcoins to an exchange, but be sure about in where are you going to put your funds, a lot of exchanges are just scam nowadays.
be careful, put your funds on cryptopia or binance, they are never asking for KYC verifications.

Quite a lot of exchanges about now, but I would think depending on the coin you should try Bittrex, Binance, Liqui (more expensive fees but has some coins not listed on the others)

I suggest you try to buy coins in poloniex Because there are many choices of coins and if you are able to maximize a few chances there is a possibility that the profits can be gained greatly. But if price movements do not change you are quite patient and wait a minute for the price to rise again.

I bought bitcoins in various places, starting with this forum.
There is a currency exchange section, well I found many sellers there.
bittrex is also one where I buy, so many markets here. You have to be careful about determining the market you want to use.
Because there are some who complain about the market, so many factors to explain but I think you understand what I am saying.

I like Litebit.eu because they support also wallets for much coins but they never have stock.

Altcoins can be bought on exchange platforms. Different platforms are supporting different kinds of currencies. So be aware during the registration. Maybe this is not a platform that you need.

Bittrex.com  and Binance.com  are very good for traders. Too many altcoins here, you have a lot of choices.
