What you say is perfectly reasonable, as the exchange rate growth of Ethereum in 2017 surpassed that of Bitcoin, while Bitcoin grew only 4000%, Ethereum grew by almost 10000%. The impressive number of experts predicting that 2018 will be a boom year for Ethereum, though it may not have completely replaced Bitcoin.

Ethereum has smart contract, new system, devs are still working, used for many deals in cryptocurrency community ... while Bitcoin, the most interesting point is only the value. Nothing is better than Ethereum in the platform and ability to applicaion for reality.

I am very doubtful about this, since absolutely all coins depend on bitcoin, I do not think that there will be a coin which can remove it from the first place.

Maybe but it will take more years to overtake bitcoin by etherium. Bitcoin will be the number coin in the cryptocurrency market , even if the value of the etherium rises significantly it would not overtake bitcoin that fast . We know that bitcoin gained its rank in the top for many years and until now bitcoin is the number one of them all.

It is impossible. Bitcoin is still very profitable and it is the cryptocurrency used in most businesses. My limit for ethereum is only about 2000 USD and it will not be able to exceed that value.

I agree with you, on the aspect of  how the price differs and how established bitcoin and etherium is, it is not yet time for eth to overtake BTC, however, there is also a possibility for that since look on how fast eth is growing, it is even faster than the other.

There is a possibility that Ethereum can overtake Bitcoin but not this year maybe next 2 years.
Bitcoin has encountered many problems due to transactions delays and high transaction fees. To add also some miners in China was stop due to government decision not to support crytocurrency. This will affects the bitcoin blockchain as a whole.
While Ethereum has shown potential to grow at $2K within this year. More investors will go with ETH.

I thinks this is the big question if ethereum would replace bitcoin next year being no one coins in crypto market because even now if we compare the price value of each other the ethereum still not goes in top to bitcoin even equality in value or even being compete in terms of being in popularization,because the mindset of all bitcoiners that bitcoin is still in leading in the world of digital currency and ethereum and other altcoins is still in next in line.

Hi friends, yeah nothing is impossible, all might happen. But I think it will be very difficult for ethereum (ETH) to get bitcoin (BTC) position, let alone ethereum unlimited supply.

Im beginning to think twice on this matter. It is possible that ethereum may replace bitcoin in the near future. As we can see bitcoin is slowly going down because people are withdrawing their investments in bitcoin because the transaction fees are too high, not to mention, it takes to long to confirm transactions as well.  Imagine from like 18,000 it went down to like 10,000. That's a huge drop.

Its too early to predict that eth can surpass bitcoin, bitcoin has always an edge over the other cyrpto the volume of investors and traders is always on bitcoin because the basis of all cryptocurrencies is always in bitcoin so for now it's difficult to say what will happen in the future.
