Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin

I hope for it so much, but probably it won't happened next year, maybe in several years. Bitcoins are too strong now, despite that price fall down for 4k of usd. I believe in etherium in future as well.

it will not overtake within 5 years. but after 5 years i think some coins will overtake bitcoin. it's just like apple and samsung some brands will overtake them in future.

Well, there is a probability that ethereum could potentially replace bitcoin, after all to most of the bounty campaigns I have seen, they utilize ethereum more than they use bitcoin. This is probably why I can say that ethereum can potentially replace BTC.

Let's see if it will become true. As of now, bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency and for me, it will always remain the same. If bitcoin totally collapse the it is the time that ethereum will dethrone bitcoin but untill bitcoin price is kicking out, bitcoin will remain its position.

i think, it will never happen. Infact there are coins that is better than ethereum. We cannot deny the stability shown by ethereum and also soaring it's price. But in a perception of overcoming bitcoin is impossible, when ethereum will rise it will double the price by bitcoin. . So i think ethereum will be strong soon but also bitcoin will.. this is all just my opinion. Ethereum increasing it's price because of it's asset that sorround it's platform.

You are right, there is no way ETH can overtake the price of bitcoin in the market. As the price of ETH increases so does the price of bitcoin. I think it is more like the price of ETH just depends on the price of bitcoin in the market.

Looks like it wont happen in the near future,BTC and ETH shares problems like confirmation speeds blocksize of ETH should be x10 before it can overtake the BTC's place.

Ethereum is a solid altcoin and you can be sure everything you do on ethereum is crypto and is also decentralized. However; you can not compare ethereum with bitcoin, they are far from each other in terms of adoption, security and development!

No alt coin that can by pass the bitcoin no matter what, they need to take lots of investors around the world to take it, but it would not happen.

I think that the normal BTC / ETH ratio is 0.3-0.33, I'm sure next year we will be able to observe this trend!

Ethereum will not take over the position of bitcoin, at least not in the near future. Bitcoin has the first place in cryptocurrencies so far. Bitcoin determines the direction in which cryptocurrencies follow.

ETH will not take BTC because BTC value is much more than ETH value and BTC growth rate is also higher than ETH.
So it is impossible to over take BTC by ETH. But indirectly ETH overtake BTC through ERC20 Token i.e see TER token on livecoin.net value was about 10 BTC per Token.

It shouldn't be overtaking any main currency, it's purpose wasn't that ambitious to overtake payment cases, but rather a more flexible and powerful for blockchain network for other coins to depend on, i believe Ethereum deserve higher price and would grow for the next few years as long competitors aren't fast enough to catch them up
