better to move this thread in Speculation As the title deserves to be there,this is a 100% speculating a dream that impossible to happen in the next 5 years..i am a supporter and holder of ethereum but it wasnt enough to ask users to unload bitcoin for just this thread.whats next turn those funds into ethereum?no this is not happening today or tomorrow man

Bitcoin would remain the king of all cryptos. Though there is a probability that etherium would increase in sudden, it is hard to think for now to see it having the same level with bitcoin. We dont neglect the idea that it will actually go the same track bitcoin have been. I invested in etherium and I decided to invest it for a long term.

I think, as bitcoin increase ethereium would also increase. Thus once etherium reached the 12,000$ mark, bitcoin might probably 80,000$ mark.

Bitcoin has always been first. Never has another cryptocurrency overtook btc. Bitcoin will always be number one. Given that btc is the pioneer of cryptocurrency and without it, all the others would've never existed. People who wants to join the cryptoworld will always start with bitcoin. It could be number one but sad to say impossible to overtake bitcoin hierarchy in crypto. Bitcoin is a small time beginning. Very simple in the first place when it was operated. Bitcoin pass the years of challenges and struggles in government and investors, even in communities. Bitcoin start as a small and cheap coin in the world that looks like no sun rise will come. So many years bitcoin surpasses its humble beginning. Bitcoin build in the world of crypto. It is the reason why there are altcoins. Eth could be number one if that was created first. Sad to say bitcoin did. Bitcoin standing even the price low or high can never be move, can never be change as I observed.

Actually, i do not think so even though the ethereum is starting to getting suddenly increase its value in the market. According to my point of view i do not  think it can surpass  bitcoin within of 1 year time. Bitcoin is taking more time to come in to its position and it is more stable than other cryptocurrencies. And a lot of people are in believe in bitcoin even it meet with a huge drop. That is because it is unstoppable.

Its not possible, I think ethereum will grow but it's growth will not beat bitcoin because there is a big gap on their price.

What you say is perfectly reasonable, as the exchange rate growth of Ethereum in 2017 surpassed that of Bitcoin, while Bitcoin grew only 4000%, Ethereum grew by almost 10000%. The impressive number of experts predicting that 2018 will be a boom year for Ethereum, though it may not have completely replaced Bitcoin.

I think one day we will see it overtake Bitcoin, but I think we are looking way into the future. Remember that Bitcoin has been around for a long time and is the flagship for all cryptocurrencies.

The average person doesn't really know the word cryptocurrency, but they usually know Bitcoin.

I think it wont happeb, ethereum will not overcome btc, and that is true and the reality, no one can ever replace btc even though it is decreasing now, but for sure in days pass btc will grow very fast and will have rapid increasing, because that is proven by the btc that no ever coins will replace them.

I do think one day we will see this, but I imagine it will be quite far in the future. Bitcoin still is the name for cryptocurrencies to the general public. I think it will take years for ETH to change this.

My prediction: Ethereum overtakes Bitcoin which triggers a hard bull run for Bitcoin a few days to a week later. After the first flippening, it takes several months until Ethereum surpasses the institutional money that's going to be pumping into Bitcoin this year.

I do not see this happening anytime soon, ETH has made big strides, but it still has to go a lot further to take the crown from bitcoin.
