2018 is the new era for bitcoin?

Well, yes, but I'm really surprised by the fall these last days, my prediction was to climb at 30.000. But I guess now that what fell, it will haunt in 2018 and there is going to be very large increase of BTC, about 50.000 at least.

I am a long term holder too, but i have sold some bitcoins last night before the crash, aproximately at $15800 each one of them.

And i bought again at a little bit more than eleven thousand dollars, i am happy about that.

And yes, i think that bitcoin will increase a lot during the next year.

Good strategy mate, you are long term trader but your strategy like short term trading.
If so many people decide to hold amd not to sell i think the price not really deep and goes up next year. I am sure.

There is no doubt about the fact that Bitcoin will only continue to grow. We will see another skyrocketing in 2108 as we saw in 2017.
As we all are aware that we found a dip in the price. This is just the lull after the storm. The probable cause for this is the rush by holders of bitcoins to sell their bitcoin in order to celebrate this season and again there was over congestion in the block-chains network leading to so many unconfirmed transactions. Again and a lot more money has been pumped into alternative crypto-currencies as well.
As long as the price can remain relatively stable until the new year then confidence can be returned and the price can push upwards again in 2018. This is because the price is higher if the demand is increasing and is lower if the demand is decreasing. With the march of time after the temporary lull we will see another skyrocketing of its price.

i see the chart is going up now, maybe for a short term and go back down, but do you think the new fresh money which can be reinvested from the beggining of Jan ( especially the chinese funds, as the banks release the holden stocks of private investors and companys  ) will keep the price maybe back to 20k or even higher?


can you maybe tell me some reasons why it is going up for the future?

yes i think that 2018 will be revuiation year for bitcoin price because at the end of 2017 we saw a lot of price droping of bitcoin along with otjer cryptocurrency.

I think the biggest revolution would be lightning network. After public implementation of LN I think BTC price will rise a lot. Bitcoin is cryptocurrency #1, but the speed and the cost makes it less valuable.

I think this year is the beginning of bitcoin to become famous and 2018 is the new era for bitcoin like you said because today people realize bitcoin especially when the price increase too high. many people especially news that said watch out of bitcoin, don't get trapped because bitcoin price is too volatile and bla bla bla. but for people which holding their bitcoin for a long time ago, from this year and next year, they will become the richest people because if they sold their bitcoin, I am sure that their money becomes bigger. once bitcoin price become $30k, I think many people start to sell their bitcoin and the price will be moving too fast because everybody wants to make a big profit.

If the fresh money from the Bank is invested for Bitcoin, it may go up and down (but I think the Bitcoin price will go up more than 20k dollars). This is one big possibility! 2018 may very well be another 2017 for Bitcoin. If or when this happens, Bitcoin will surely gain tremendous value! Probably between $50,000 and $100,000.Who knows right?

I'm prepping for a repeat of 2013, there's probably going to be continued slides on the markets since it's been having trouble maintaining a value of greater than $14k today and it will likely just get worse as more transactions begin to roll into exchanges and people begin to sell for whatever kind of value they think is best. There's still 171k transactions to go through, I expect a lot of them are people who are seeking to move their money to exchanges and close their positions, in one way or another. Fees might just be getting too high for a lot of people and there's no point trying to use BTC when their other conventional methods work fine, being cheaper and faster right now.

But hey, it's Christmas so let's be a bit more cheerful. The markets will do well and we might even get a Christmas miracle. We'll find out soon enough.

I think the most important thing to think is the best of bitcoin, because from what I know and I read from the discussion of the holders of bitcoin assets, bitcoin values rise significantly and stable even though the down point takes patience to wait until the value rises

Bitcoin has enormous potential for 2018, and its price will be difficult to predict. What will be key for the cryptocurrency is upgrading to handle increased capacity and implementation of the Lightning Network, or to get much closer to achieving it.

I don't think 2018 is the year of bitcoins. A lot of people are investing on eth based alt coins and a lot of people are starting to give attention to alt coins. So I think bitcoins will maintain it's $15,000 price and every other famous alt coins will gain more value.

I hold bitcoin for long term I hope 2017 is not the peak of bitcoin. I hope it will continue to rise again. Just put your trust on bitcoin. Even if bitcoin will drop again I would still buy more and wait for its comeback. That's how much I trust bitcoin.
