I still find it incredibly odd that an actual physical business as owned by Fabrizio would (if that is the case) be willing to stand behind any form of scam, and I can assure everyone here that both me and Burnside did what we at the time considered a very fair due diligence of the project before we ever considered having anything to do with any part of the listing process.

I know this was posted a long time ago but.. care to elaborate on what kind of DD you guys actually did?
looks like you didn't even verify that the people involved in Labcoin actually existed.

Hey, Sammy, how are you enjoying our $7,000,000?

Having some caviar on a yacht somewhere?  How's Monaco this time of year?

Ha, "Sam" - wonder what his new name is. Anyone here ever buy counterfeit passports? Do you get to pick the name that goes on it?

Friends, Labcoiners, Shareholders, lend me your ears!

LCSH has had great success in it's investigatory endeavors into the individuals responsible for the Labcoin operation. We would love to give complete detail into what has been uncovered but we walk a thin line of informing you, the victim, and tipping off the perpetrators. So, please, forgive any vagueness, it is not intended to keep you, the innocent in the dark, but the accused.

We would like announce that both Fabrizio and Alessia have agreed to provide information to our group and as a result we find it would be appropriate for all shareholders to cease communication with them, especially in the way of threats, lewd gestures, and other harassment.

Our work is entering the next phase, which involves funding. We have ample evidence now to move against the accused and are in touch with a lawyer who is eager to assist in compiling our data into a case and bringing forth justice. We know that many of you have lost a lot of financial resources, and we regret having to ask for one Satoshi more, but alas, this is what is needed for justice to be realized. The collected resources will be provided to the lawyer to build and file a formal legal complaint against the accused. This is the first step towards a legal hearing.

When we reach a balance of 3.5 BTC (of about 7 BTC total for complaint) in the legal fund address our lawyer can begin legal maneuvers that will set in motion the justice system against the accused.

This certainly helps building up hype.

There were these two guys, one on each of my shoulders, advising me on whether to quote the above or not. Guess which one won.

One important question to ask is: why does someone solely focus on posting "this or that is flawed, the ship will go down" with over 20 posts in a row? matt4054, foxykah, limbaugh for example, please tell me. This is no accusation, maybe I got it all wrong..

Seriously, as far as I am concerned, this has never been FUD. I was really all out already.

It turns out we were just right, and I was honestly disgusted by my loss when I had liquidated. This is why the 20 messages in a row. Hate, maybe, but a deserved warning in hindsight. Now I'm more than happy that I could get out with a loss rather than lose it all.

While he sounds genuine enough, and I presume he is legit, it would be a good idea if some older members acknowledged virtualspade has been vetted/doxed and if the contract with the laywer has been verified.

Hi guys,
great news finally Smiley

Who's the lawyer? Can I get in touch with him?

this would be good for somebody to actually be able to meet in person with the lawyer.  Just to show we're from all parts of the world and we mean business.

BTW, is the lawyer in Italy? And could you give us his/their web site, company name, etc.

we do need this information as we're all here for some action, and we're paying this law firm.

As I said before, I will verify my id with a trusted member of the community if needed, I sent a message to SebastianJu and asked if he is willing to verify me and the lawyer if I send him the information needed to do that.

Everyone that has signed up for the legal actions against Labcoin, will soon get a message how to contact the lawyer with your personal information and the amount of lost/stolen money. First I just need to get my part of the contract with him for-filled, that is to pay the first half of the invoice, and after that he will start to work on the case, after that you can contact him with questions about the case. But if you have some urgent matters regarding the complaint PM me, and I can get you in touch with him.

I will not put his information out here on the forum, with out asking him for his consent.

I remember that night very, very well, because it almost drove me crazy. Grin

In retrospective I guess it was not all that black and white ("an organized group gaming the market" vs. "concerned users), but the inconsistency of Labcoin and some exploiting this for trading (the ticker band manipulation for example).

While he sounds genuine enough, and I presume he is legit, it would be a good idea if some older members acknowledged virtualspade has been vetted/doxed and if the contract with the laywer has been verified.

This definitely the right question to ask. An imposter acting as lawyer was my very first fear, also. Cheesy

+1

The turnpoint for me was when labcoin told everyone to buy more cheap shares with some 10bag promises. Trust = 0 (or minus X)

As I said before, I will verify my id with a trusted member of the community if needed,

Its needed. No offense, you are probably legit, but you registered here in august when the labcoin scheme started falling apart. It is not something labcoin shareholders should have to worry about that their legal defense donations might end up being yet another scam.

BTW, doesnt anyone of the shareholders have an insurance that covers legal costs? I know I have. It only covers costs up to a certain amount (10K or so? should have to check)  and for a limited amount of legal cases, but afaik, it wouldnt cost me a penny to retain a lawyer for this. Surely IM not the only one?

I know you're reading this Alberto.

You should give the money back. All of it. Now. While you can still avoid prison.

The legal system is grinding its way to you, Alberto.  It won't stop until it's caught you and locked you away for many years.

Those bitcoins may look nice now, but you're going to lose them anyway. There's zero chance you're getting away with them.  Zero.

Your partners have turned on you.  They're going to sell you out completely.  You'll have no way to avoid capture.

The best you can hope for now is to avoid prison.  Give the coins back and you might.  Keep them and you're going to be sitting in a cell for years to come.

Appealing to his emotions won't do a thing. He's a psychopath. The upside is that psychopaths are notoriously bad at anticipating the future (hence his idiotic move to sell on ebay, and why it will ultimately be pretty easy to catch him)

I'm not appealing to his emotions, I'm appealing to his self-preservation.

At this point he's headed for prison.  It's time to go into survival mode and try to avoid that.

I can confirm that i got an email from virtualspade with his ID and the contract he subscribed to with the lawyer. I know him since some time from LCSH and his interest in following the scammer, providing info and pushing the legal activities forward looks genuine for me.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.
