I have never been a naysayer of NiceHash. In fact, I have successfully rented out my miners for months with more profitable results than mining with ccminer to a local wallet. But now that they are "Back from the brink"...here is my experience:

I test the waters last night and after a few false starts I get a prediction from NH that I will make $2.75 in 24 hours per GPU (I have 4 older GPU's). Great this is even better than before the hack! I check my NH balance after 12 hours and I have barely over $1 and I am expecting $5 based on NH calculations. Anyone else seeing similar results? If that is how they are going to "recover" then count me out I am back to ccminer!

Of course they didn't. How do you expect them to refund over $80 million in Bitcoin that were stolen?
I don't think anyone's getting their money back.

The hack and fund recovery has nothing to do with the calculations and rates you're getting. The amount of money you get depends on the algorithm that Nicehash chooses to mine, that coin's price, Bitcoin's price and the network difficulty. Of course there will be (sometimes wild) fluctuations.

I'm sure most of this is probably due to more miners coming back online. You probably started out with lets say 100 miners mining on that algorithm. Then, after 10 hours or so, another 300 came online. Hence creating more competition and lowering the price you would make.

I have not started my mining pathway yet with the nice hash but still waiting for their server active again. I am also looking forward for big profit so right place would be nice hash I believe.
They cannot able to return the fund for the peopwl who was sell their hashes with them. Keep it aside. Tell me will it be a profitable for goes with that with trust again?

At this point in time, I'd rather solomine than aim my miners with Nicehash. Though their idea of mining the most profitable coin at the given moment is cool, still they already have left an unpleasant taste with the recent hack they've ran into. It is profitable, yes, sometimes outperforming some traditional miners' way, but then again, think of the scenario that they've been hack. Wouldn't that be negligence on their part?

They are alleging in January they'll set a date to repay people.  Let's see what they say.  Will they set a date 6 months out, to regain trust, and then steal balances and run?

You mean that they will just pay people from the fees they charge miners for using their convenience and platform? Very likely since there isn't much else that brings money on the table from their side. I however find it far too dangerous to connect myself with that platform after such a shady happening. It's like granting Bitfinex a second chance, which should be a straight no. Talking about Bitfinex, at first people were basically spitting on that exchange, but after it having promised to settle their debt, people started to gain back their trust in that exchange. The same is happening right now where people are cheering about NiceHash to pay back.

Nope, no word about that besides they will provide info how and when to do in on Jan 31. I don't think people will ever see their money but they keep using Nicehash.

Yes you can.

They've got the reputation of being the best at mining the most profitable coin even from back then, that's why they got a legitimate following and miners still are coming back.

IMO they should rebrand, put the hacking incident behind their backs and move on, with due compensation for those who were affected of course.
