The intraday picture looks inspiring as BTC/USD is trading at $$7,120, above moving averages registered on the hourly chart. While the key resistance created by April 3 high, is still out several hundred points away, the coin has a good chance to reach it once the European and American players join the game later today. The local support comes at $7,000 strengthened by 200-EMA (hourly interval); it is followed by $6,900 and $6,600.

The crypto market has had a positive start to the week and continued its solid run during Monday afternoon trade.

This has taken the market value of the entire cryptocurrency industry back up to US$271.5 billion according to Coin Market Cap.

While the likes of ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Litecoin (LTC) have all pushed notably higher during the last 24 hours, the biggest contributor to the industry’s gain has come from  improvements in the bitcoin (BTC) price.

During the last 24 hours bitcoin has risen 2.5% to US$7,139.53 per coin, improving its market capitalisation by over US$3 billion to US$121.1 billion.

Leading cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex has announced the introduction of 12 new token listings to its trading platform. The new coins include Aion, Raiden Network, Request Network, IOSToken and Loopring. The 12 tokens have a combined market capitalization of over $1.1 billion USD.
Aion (AION), IOSToken (IOST), Request Network (REQ), Raiden Network (RDN), Loopring (LRC), BnkToTheFuture Token (BFT), Cofound.it (CFI), WAX (WAX), SingularityNET (AGI), MedicalChain (MTN), ODEM (ODEM) and Dai (DAI).

All 12 tokens are based on the Ethereum technical protocol ERC20 which is increasingly popular with digital coin creators and ICOs. All 12 new tokens will also be enabled on the Bitfinex spinoff site Ethfinex, an Ethereum focused hybrid trading platform

Bitcoin left on Saturday a relative minimum at $6,600, attacked a resistance, now support, at $6,907, and broke it easily. Slightly above, it found the EMA50 at $7,042, also broken, and it now faces the SMA100 at $7,400 and a price resistance at $7,464

In order to achieve its weekly goal and confirm the morning star, BTC/USD must surpass the 240 min SMA200. Therefore, this movement would imply a strongly bullish new configuration.

In the daily chart, exceeding the $8,537 level would take Bitcoin to the EMA50, with the SMA 100 and 200 still way above. The daily price resistances are clearly at $7,500, $7,950 and $8,225.

Below, the main support stands at $6,500, followed by the February minimum at $5,950. If these prices are lost, the major supports would be at $5,000 and $3,000.

There is increasing selling pressure in the market as Bitcoin price sharply declines from trading above $7,000 to exchange hands below $6,800. The price is currently testing the short-term support level at $6,750. The 100 SMA has failed to support the price during the declines, although it will offer resistance as the price corrects higher. The bottom has not cleared for BTC/USD as the danger of further declines is still looming. The major support for Bitcoin price rests at the weekend low of $6,520
