Stuck again at 6048  Sad

Try this:

Keep a backup of your original wallet.

Get rid of everything but your .conf file. You'll let it recreate a new wallet when it first starts.

Run 1.0, and let it sync. When it syncs, stop it immediately and run 1.2. Don't leave 1.0 synced running too long, or it will desync. Hopefully 1.2 will keep the sync.

Let it sit for a while to make sure everything's working before stopping it and copying back your original wallet.dat, but always keep a wallet backup.

If everything's working, type repairwallet in the debug console. You might lose some coins, but everything should be fixed.

It doesn't seem like 1.2 can get past 6048 without dropping in a new blockchain, so somehow you have to use 1.0 to get past it.

You might have to open up your firewall to get lots of connections. I have 47.

12:56 est, the hash is creeping up:

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

anyone else notice that the difficulty displayed when hovering the green checkmark in the overview page doesn't match what is displayed in the rpc console?

12:04:29

Code:

Mine does, but has less decimal points, and there might be a lag. The checkmark seems to show a new block and difficulty a few seconds before console refreshes, but don't quote me on that. The difficulty's been jumping around as the hashrate recovers.

Everyone's on 1.2 now, I hope.

EDIT: As soon as I posted this, the diff is way different.

Tested this and it works... but now we know where all the 1.0 and 1.1 nodes are coming from ! jk..  Grin

This works tho for those of you who are stuck on one of the 6k forks still mining out like 70mhash  Undecided

So.. Where i download wallet version 1.0?

If you're on Windows, you can probably just use the current blockchain. These files are incompatible with Linux, so those users had to compile and try the 1.0 method. I can send you the Windows blockchain, Windows 1.0 client, or the source code if you're on Linux.

I would suggest the current blockchain as you don't have to run a binary from an unofficial source (me).

EDIT: Check your PM.

nice finally diff getting resonable.... Also, My POS  shares are coming through at the Tenth day paying an immature dividend type payment of around 1.2% of the coins matured on the day ten days ago... this works out to around 3.6% predicted monthly interest rate.... POS is working GREAT... I think this coin is really a potential challenge to savings accounts.... Now if we as a community could agree on what to spend it on... Since the interest rate is relatively high for Holding the currency then the projects should have potential for EVEN GREATER returns... There's the rub... What projects can compete with 50% interest annually?Huh only inventive and creative projects with a real potential of creating a cashflow... What do people think of a KickStarter.com that works in Bitcoin and PHS?  -- digeros

Simple just use PoW coins for that and PoS for savings. A hybrid with low % interest is a good middle ground, high interest return best for store of value, imo - time will tell.

getting an interest payment each 10 days on unmoved coins is better than a savings account because it is more regular in payment than just every 30 days...on an averaged balance... and getting 0.25% APR on your deposit...

It's ~116 MH/s right now, so there's either more people interested than is apparent in this thread, or it has a terrible hashpersec calculator.

It looks like everyone likes this coin but the dev. If not for about 6 people and a lot of trial and error, it would now be an increasingly unresolvable mess with people stuck and bailing permanently, or mining on different blockchains and standing to lose a lot of coins if it ever was straightened out.

It needs a pool and a blockchain explorer, and I might look into those, but the dev has to make his intentions clear. The people pulling in the most blocks might want to offer up some bounties.

If you can modify the novacoin p2pool.. This is a clone after all.. a pool there shall be. Sadly I'm not so good with the python
