Yes that was the only transaction I made the last few days that somehow went through! I have replaced the wallet with the oldest backup I could find and re-scanned it and made a test transaction which is now in the mem pool, so it all seems to work now (allthough core is very unresponsive). And yeah, I'm definitely thankful for the BTC I still have Wink
Now I'm confused: if you restored a very old backup, the change from your recent transaction may not show up in that one (old wallets are non-HD). If the change doesn't show up, you'll find it back in the backup you made before rescanning your wallet.

But now I'm really away need to calm these nerves down:) Once again, thanks for the help and merry Christmas!
You're still here, aren't you? Cheesy

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I just hope he did make a backup recently before rescanning the wallet or that change to 12CYT26e7 will be lost
like I said, he might have more addresses Cheesy 13zWymf6V showed up in his last transaction
this 1JixNppfi9 also might be his (change address)

Thank you so much for all your help. The wallet is working just fine again. Strange how the -rescan just fixed everything! I emptied it completely by sending everything to a new wallet. Will use this old one to get out the bcash and later the bgold. Thanks again!!!

Hahah, may I ask why anyone would want to buy a wallet instead of just the coins? Is it for sentimental reasons and bragging rights, like people who want to buy an old steam account?

well... empty BTC wallet Grin but corresponding BCH & BTG coins still intact
of course noone will buy a completely empty wallet, and some people don't realize the value of their empty wallets
If you just want to redeem those 2 coins, you can throw your 'used' wallet my way
though if you want, you can claim some more extra coins from your 'empty' btc wallet
if you're too lazy, don't care, don't know how to do it, I can do it for you. pm me if interested Wink
