If the last 6 months or so have taught us anything, it's that TCP/IP needs to have some built-in mechanism of shutting down DoS attacks. That being said, is there any pool that is not under a DDoS at the moment??? Btcguild- Down. Bitcoinpool- down (for me at least/unconfirmed), Bitcoins.lc- down (apparently, haven't tested myself).

I can't seem to connect to Mt. Red. Keep getting "Upstream RPC Error," whatever the hell that means. Seriously; getting pissed at all this botnet/hacker bullshit.

Finally got connected to Mt. Red. Someone must be overloading the server (or trying to DDoS me personally, but I doubt it, since I can still browse teh webz).

I switched to my backup BTCMine which seems to be fine.

I'm rather good with Linux. If you're having problems with your mining rig I'll help you out remotely for 0.05. You can also propose a flat-rate for some particular task. PM me for details.

I noticed they made short work of them. Are they with a providor that has AITF or custom filter support?

Spoke too soon! BitClockers is now also down :p IPv6 needs to be switched on globally and most of these problems would go away.

Simplecoin.us is doing fine. Bitclockers is too.
Both are working hard to compete for my GPU cycles.

I've just noticed this comment. How do you think that IPv6 would protect against DDoS? It offers some protection against random scanning due to the large address space, but as far as I know it wouldn't do anything to help against this kind of attack.

Give bitp.it a try. They're a small pool who is having a chance to rise out now that most of the big pools are experiencing some problems. They have very active admins and are always trying to keep on top of things, adding new features and quickly stomping out any bugs (which have been relatively few to begin with). They're up to 50Ghash now and climbing. https://bitp.it/
