Maybe a dumb question but which of pools are using pushpoold and which are using custom rolled software?  Does anyone know?

Our pool uses pushpoold with a custom script for Long Polling which works better than blkmond.  I'm not sure what information you are trying to gather, but pushpoold is no longer the problem as I first suspected.  JoelKatz has patched the heck out of bitcoind for pool operators to bring the bottleneck from ~300GH/s to ~1000GH/s and other improvements.

Yes, the new patched bitcoin client is fantastic. I've had 0 downtime after switching. There is no more need for blkmond either, which is one less dependency. My cronjobs seem to have a bigger impact than pushpool now, which is fantastic.

indeed, pushpool just doesn't cut it.

Come join us if you prefer a pool that doesn't use pushpool.  Wink
