Both can work, both won't work because of human selfishness. Communism is designed for equality. Captilism is designed to increase productivity but both have severe negative consequences.

Both to some extent have failed.
We've seen both economy failing. The government as well as the individuals when get money and power gets corrupted.
So, the world is going towards a hybrid form of economic policy where the government and private sectors compete, co-operate or divide their sectors.

Really communism is utopia and there is no any country who build it even USSR. Soviet "communism" as economy system lose to capitalism in everything, ex-commy betrayed their people and become oligarchs. So my choice is capitalism because it work. As an feudalism by the way.

Both side has disadvantages, as long as the people are self-centered, no economic system will lead to the development of our economy. Capitalism is free-market and has private ownership, people who are poor will be poor and people who are rich will become richer. Communism concept is the equality of the people in our economy, it is been proven that people will become lazy if they know that what others got will they also get. No economic model has been said that reached the stability of the economy and I think people's behavior is the number one factor why there is no progress at all. Greediness in power and gold will lead to a destructive economy.

However ; It doesn't work like that in reality.Because of some untalented politicians, communism didn't work in the past but In the future, It will work for sure.

Everyone would agree that communism is a failed ideology. Capitalism is not perfect, but in the modern society, it is more practical. The main negative with communism is that it fails to recognize that the skill level of different people can be different. If you give all of them equal salaries, then there is no incentive to learn new skills, or to improve your skills.
