Currently running a mixed card Rig, Windows10 4-Rx570, 4-Rx580, 2-1070ti, 4-5700 Xt. So 14 GPU miner. My rig was crashing roughly every six hours after the 5.0 update. Now it's been running fine the last several days. Since the 5.1c Update. But here's what's happening. I'll get an error such as GPU10 not responding, then threads not responding. Restarting. It'll say waiting 15 seconds for previous instant to close. Remove two logs, to keep total size under 200 MB. Then CUDE version.

The miner just sits there and flashes and does not restart or continue mining. The miner window also freezes preventing me from closing it. So I'm forced to do a system restart. Because I cannot even close it in of task manager. I can still scroll up and down and see the box. So it's not completely frozen. But it's basically not doing anything.

guys which vertion of phoenix is better?for me after some hours program restarting.
posible to mine with 2gb graphic cards or not?

If you read the very first sentence. Do you really think you can mine with a 2 GB card?

4GB CARDS ARE NEAR THE END--

There are other algorithms for 2 GB cards.  Phoenixminer is the wrong miner for you.  During the very first year of Ethereum mining I was able to solo-mine ETH with 2GB GTX 960 cards.  I found 2 blocks of 5 ETH, but within 2 weeks, it was impossible to find a block by solo-mining.  And, I mean solo-mining with a wallet, not on a pool.  Claymore's miner was not available yet for dual mining.       --scryptr

Hi

I moved to PhoenixMiner from Claymore to be able to mine ETH a few more months with my RX580 4GB cards. I understand there is no -strap or -rxboost option for AMD cards. Do you guys use a seperate tool to apply straps or did you flash the cards?
The straps provided by Claymore was a bit better than the timings that I flashed to the cards. Win 10

Yeah you can use AMD Memory Tweak
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5123724.0
I recommend you to first run with Claymore and open AMD Memory Tweak to check which parameters have been set then copy all these values, switch to Phoenix Miner and set those values after 1 min or so. You can use a simple batch on Windows start up to set these values after the miner is up.

Strong recommend you to find out which -gt number is the best and fix it on the config file

My config

Asus RX 580 8GB samsung memory

30.1 Mh/s

--R2W 31 --RC 75 --RRD 5 --RCDRA 26 --RCDR 26 --RCDWA 14 --RCDW 14 --RFC 184 --RP_WRA 55 --RASMACTWR 33 --RASMACTRD 28 --ACTWR 9 --ACTRD 10 --RAS2RAS 101 --RP 24 --WRPLUSRP 30 --REF 45

-cclock 1100
-cvddc 800
-mclock 2050
-mvddc 825

Thanks, but according to deadsix (one of the latest post in the AMD Mem Tweak thread) it's not possible to read the timings from the card. This is however not important if there is another way to find a good strap. I have 580 Nitro+ 4GB and suppose it's the most used card in mining.
There is a GUI and a CLI version but no explanation on how to use them. You run the CLI version followed by the settings you listed? --R2W and so on?

What is a good remote monitor? Similar to Claymore remote monitor.

CLAYMORE REMOTE MONITOR WORKS WELL--

PhoenixMiner was designed to run in a compatible fashion to Claymore's miner.  Claymore's "ETHMan" remote monitor works well with PhoenixMiner, it is easy to read, and lets a miner know when a problem pops up.       --scryptr

Hello,

i have a problem with my rig under win 7 (3x 470 4Go)

It worked longer whith blockchain driver + claymore than my win 10 ones, but when I updated to driver 20.5.1 + phoenix, I only have 10 Mhs for every GPU.
They are in compute mode so the problem does not comes to that.

Is it a known problem for win 7?

thx

For Win7 there is no new blockchain drivers. And old ones is too old and can't properly work with big memory buffers close to 4Gb.
So you need at least Win10 and drivers like 20.4.2.

hi guys
can I ask why you guys are mining and whats the profit in it?

I last mined 2018 and then stopped working on it. I have 7 card 570 4GB rig and I just started on my rig today after 2 years.

....
ETH: Share accepted (47 ms)!
ETH: 08/16/20-20:43:58 - New job from eu.etc.epool.io:8008

ETH: 08/16/20-20:44:01 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 0)

I was just thinking to sell the GPUs and repay my bills Smiley.

Yeah figured that out... Seems to all work except doesn't show shares accepted/stale... Oh well.

You are not gonna need the straps (use -mt 1 on Phoenix), just copy all the timings from the GUI and test them on PhoenixMiner, after everything is stable you can set a .bat file (CLI version) to start up on Windows like mine:

TIMEOUT /T 60
C:\Users\Rig1\Downloads\amdmemorytweak-master\amdmemorytweak-master\win\WinAMDTweak.exe --R2W 31 --RC 75 --RRD 5 --RCDRA 26 --RCDR 26 --RCDWA 14 --RCDW 14 --RFC 184 --RP_WRA 55 --RASMACTWR 33 --RASMACTRD 28 --ACTWR 9 --ACTRD 10 --RAS2RAS 101 --RP 24 --WRPLUSRP 30 --REF 45

How to use the commands -straps, -vmt1, -vmt2, -vmt3, and -vmr on 1080Ti? I tried -nvmem 2 and the commands still are not recognized.

The miner is not recognizing the commands when I put in the bat file
