Might be a dumb question, but with PM do you have to increase the power to get better hashrates out of the 1070s or can you keep it at 70% and still achieve a good hashrate?

how to use PhoenixMiner command in ethOS Huh

Go to your web monitoring page and click the link on it to:

https://github.com/cynixx3/third-party-miner-installer-for-ethos

Then scroll down and execute these two commands:

sudo wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cynixx3/third-party-miner-installer-for-ethos/master/miner-manager -O /usr/bin/miner-manager

sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/miner-manager

Then simply type:

miner-manager phoenixminer install

After it installs edit you local.conf or remote.conf so that:

globalminer phoenixminer
phoenixminer=flags -mode 1

(You can add any supported command line options to the flags such as - mode 1 -proto 3 -wdtimeout 300

This also adds support for a lot of miners....you can only have one installed at a time but makes it easy to install most miners

Is PhoenixMiner 5.4b legit, I dont see it mentioned here and when I downloaded it from the github page windows deleted a virus "Contebrew.A!ml" in the Phoenixminer.exe file Is this normal?
just above the link to mega.nz, download from there

Thanks for that, my point exactly is on the MEGA URL there is no 5.4b and there is one here ***
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg55807925#msg55807925
on page 332 in the middle

Sorry duplj30 tagged you trying to get rid of the fraudulent github link that DejavuUS posted.  Have deleted and corrected as well as sent note to mods.  I see we have all but one link left to remove.  Thanks and again sorry for quoting your message as fraudulent.

@PhoenixMiner where i can download latest 5.4b miner?

The new beta version is ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.4b from here:

https://mega.nz/folder/OJ9BCYaD#osOU-PywjweHqQkux8rpbQ  (MEGA)

If you want to check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows):
Code:
    File: PhoenixMiner_5.4b_Windows.zip

The new features in this release are:

  • New kernels for AMD Vega and Navi GPUs that are slightly faster when the DAG buffer is approaching or passing 4GB in size (the current ETH DAG is close to 4GB). To use these new kernels, you need to use drivers 20.5.1 or later under Win10, or 20.10.x or later under Linux
  • Automatic re-running auto-tune as needed when switching to a different DAG buffer type (e.g. when switching from ETH to ETC, or back)
  • Added support for the latest AMD Windows 10 drivers 20.12.1 and 20.11.3
  • Fixed crash when trying to set -mvddc on very old AMD drivers (including the beta blockchain drivers from 2017)
  • Other small fixes and improvements

Some notes on the best (or at least some of the better) drivers for AMD cards:
  • If you have 6GB or 8GB card that is at least Polaris (i.e. 470/480/570/580, Vega, Radeon VII, Navi), you should run at least driver 20.5.1 under Windows 10, or driver 20.10.x under Linux.
  • If you have 4GB Polaris card (i.e. 470/480/570/580), ideally you should also run drivers 20.5.1 or later. At the very least the drivers should be either 18.12.1.1 to 19.7.5 (inclusive), or 19.12.2 and later. Under Linux, drivers 19.x.x or 20.x.x should be OK for 4GB cards.
  • Avoid using the 20.40.x, and 20.45.x drivers under Linux.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.4b.

I dont see 5.4b miner on mega link....

Why these updates? Everything works on all my rigs except Nvidia 460.79.
I will wait for the addition of large epochs for the DAG file, then I will update.
Happy Holidays everyone!  Cheesy
