AMD 6600 XT just came up right now so most probably Phoenix miner which has an history full of issues for the Big Navi 6000 series it appears to have the same problem.I have been suffering big time with Rx 6800 XT until the latest release 5.7b which I have a record it running for 75 hours without problems so far.I am pretty sure based on this that in future versions the 6600 XT will be fully supported without problems in Phoenix miner.

Thanks to your advice (on an earlier post/page) of using a higher -eres number (-eres 8 is what I use), my rig has been able to run 70 hours non-stop without a crash.  This is on 5.7b and the August AMD driver.

There is 1 problematic card which starts to drop shares on the 60th hour or so (Gigabyte) so I typically will need to do a reboot after 2 days, which is better than before where everything crashes in a day and a half, sometimes in less than a day.

On this rig there are 7 GPU's (all RX 6800). I am now considering adding more as RX 6800s are cheaper in my city than 3070's, have a lower temp + lower power consumption (thanks to MorePowerTool), and boosts to 70 Mhs from 62-64 MHs every now and then. The only drawback really is stability since max performance and efficiency for the 6000-series can only be had in Windows atm.

Hi, I have been using Phoenixminer on Windows 10 for several months but I always encounter an annoying problem with AMD RX 5600 XT: when the card dies, the miner dies too (it closes instantly) so no wathdog works. This happens to me with several 5600 cards, with any setting for at least 4 months and with all subserved versions up to the last one.
I hope you can resolve this as this causes a lot of lost revenue.
Thanks

First, you should check your OC settings/timings for the card, making the system unstable to eliminate it. Sometimes same settings for the same brand/model do not work for all cards.

To eliminate the watchdog issue and downtimes, you need to do the following 3 steps:

1. Add this to your config file or the command line:

Code:
 -wdog 1
 -rmode 2

#-rmode <n>
#   Selects the restart mode when a GPU crashes or freezes: :0:
#   disabled - miner will shut down instead of restarting :1: restart
#   with the same command line options - this is the default :2: reboot
#   (shut down miner and execute "reboot.bat")

2. Create a "reboot.bat" file in your miner's directory with this:

Code:
shutdown /r /t 5 /f

This will restart your rig.

3. Set your miner to start automatically when the Windows start.

The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7b from here:

Are you kidding? 5.7b was released 15.08.2021

First edit your post and remove the malware links.
Both links provided do not go where they say they go.  They go to a malware github account.

ONLY EVER USE THE 1st POST OF THIS THREAD TO GET LINKS TO PhoenixMiner

Seems the malware / smear campaign is back on against PM.

The Account is Hacked or sold as the last post was done in March 18, 2016 !
As others already have written its a Malware download link , dont download anything from there !
I have reported the post already and all others should be doing the same when they see some kind of posts like that!
I also have written about in my thread about that and there a few more Github links that are used for , you can read about here :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5182222.msg57577220#msg57577220

And the only links that you should be trust is when the User PhoenixMiner post it  !

Hoping github takes quick action.

It looks like they already have.  The link to the repository's main page results in a 404 error.

The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7b from here:

I tried this latest version.

My Goldfish got Fin & tail rot.
Both my dogs got ticks and fleas.
My wife had a fling with the postman and I got arrested for smoking pot in church.

I would advise to not use it.
Use the link on the first page on this forum instead. Avoid all my issues.

The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7b from here:

PhoenixMiner/releases/download/5.7b/PhoenixMiner_5.7b_Linux.tar.gz]https://phoenixminer.info/downloads/PhoenixMiner_5.7b_Linux.tar.gz[/url]

Changes in version 5.7b (since 5.6d):
  • Added lock core clock
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.7b

Unfortunately seems like part of a smearing campaign towards Phoenix miner. For all of you reading these kind of posts from newbies please disregard them and always before clicking the link, hover your mouse over the link to see the complete link.Once you do so you will see this does not lead to the official Phoenix miner website but to an infected Github account. No matter how many times we report these kind of threads these kind of worthless users seem to pop up even more,so just be careful and follow my advice and that of many others which says the same.

Unfortunately seems like part of a smearing campaign towards Phoenix miner.

It's certainly organised and seems personal. Once a post is deleted a new one pops up almost immediately from another user.
I know there is some feuding among some developpers but if that's what this is it's going way too far.

Anyway the infected github repo has been removed and the links are harmless, for now anyway, they may find another host.

so whats up with cl error -11 and -41.

this only started when i installed a 6600XT, the 6700xt in the same rig was fine.

rig is an onda D8P (G4400, 8 gigs ram, 120 gig ssd, 2x g3 evga 850s) with 1080ti, 1070ti, 1070, 6700xt - ran fine on all that for months

using phoenix 5.7b

then added the 6600xt no joy it fails and exits the program.  pcie plugs is connected. i changed slots no joy there either.

installed latest win update 21/h1 (i think have to check but its what win update just installed), amd driver is dated 8/25/2021 so its the latest. swap is 64 gigs.

i know people are mining on the 6600xt, so what am i doing wrong?

edit mining eth

EDIT   switched to nbminer.. works fine with NO other changes. dropped it in and it just ran... so much for phoenixminer

I have a 6700xt that gives the cl error -11 and -41, I believe that this may be because the opencl version was updated to 2.1, and Phoenixminer is expecting 2.0, but that is just a guess based on the researching the error very quickly..  Regardless, the only way i can get it to run, even with 5.7b, is to use the -clKernel 0 setting that 5.7b was supposed to no longer require.   I don't know if I'm missing any performance, and my rig is simple.  Just a 5900x, 16gb of RAM, and a single 6700xt.  The CPU and RAM aren't even overclocked (yet).

These are all the switches I have tried after the wallet address, and only the last two work:
-proto 3
 -proto 3 -dagrestart 1 -rvram -1 -eres 0 -altinit
 -proto 3 -dagrestart 1 -rvram -1 -eres 0
-proto 3 -dagrestart 1 -rvram -1 -eres 8
 -proto 3 -dagrestart 1 -rvram -1 -eres 0 -clKernel 0
 -proto 3 -dagrestart 1 -rvram -1 -eres 8 -clKernel 0

I'd love to know if I'm doing something wrong, what performance I'm losing, if any, and what I should try to fix/debug this.

And before someone says "compute mode," there is no separate compute mode on big navi cards. It isn't an option.   Also, I have tried at full standards feeds and speeds, no over or underclocks, the errors are always the same without -clKernel 0.  If I've tried anything else, i can't think of it at the moment Smiley

Curious as to why newbie's have rights to post links in the first place.
This would all stop if users except for members and above could only post links.
I've been on here for years and never had a good reason to post a link and I'd be fine without that privilege.

Its a knowen thing here now for years , about the Malware Links here in the thread mostly over a year !
Here you can see what kind of links they already got so far !
It was posted in my thread !

Code:
https\\github.com\PhoenixMinerTeam
https\\github.com\PhoenixMlnerDevTeam (L insted of i)
https\\github.com\PhoenixDevTeamMiner
https\\github.com\PhoenixDevMinerTeam
https\\github.com\Phoenix-MinerDev

https\\github.com\PhoenixDev-Team-Miner
https\\github.com\Phoenix-DevMinerTeam
https\\github.com\PhoenixMiner-Team-Dev/
https\\github.com\Phoenix-Miner-TeamDev/

Guess they focus on phoenix miner because of it's popularity overall and on bitcointalk (one of the top traffic keywords) and because it only recently has an "official" website (https://phoenixminer.info)
Now they changed it to PhoenixDev-Miner-Team

I fighting them and other Malware links now over 2 years , nearly 3 and they using Bots for posting it ,
means if one gets deleted they post with the next hacked or bought Account they have and got.
The only thing we can do about is to report them as soon as possible when you see them.

About a restriction for newbies would be not helping because if real Users want to post a link here on the forum and they cant would be not so good.
Next thing is that the Malware posting Accounts will be changed to other Ranks, we got this all , Hero / Legendary ranks have posted that too.
Just report them and all is fine.

They need to take action against dormant accounts. Mining pools purge unpaid balances after a time, forums should purge
unused user accounts.

They could also force all links to be transparent so users would always see the real destination. It wouldn't be fool proof because
there will always be fools, but it would help.

This is the argument of the problem:

phoenixminer exited (exitcode=139), waiting to cooldown a bit
/hive/miners/phoenixminer/h-run.sh: line 23: 24698 Segmentation fault (core dumped) ./PhoenixMiner

Someone can help me?

Thanks very much for this awesome software miner.

I already do all this, but in these cases it is useless, wathdog does not activate if Phoenixminer crashing together with the card. It only happens with 5600s. Some 5600s are very unstable.

Hello!

Is there a way to set the accuracy of the time stamp in the remote monitoring data (I can't find an option for this in the readme file) else can the accuracy be improved in the base code?

I'm looking at coding up a dashboard to plot the miner performance stats (rate, temps, fan speeds etc)... ideally I'd pull the data from the remote monitoring url as this is easier to set up than pointing to the log file, but the time stamp is chopped to the minute so it's not accurate enough to plot the data (since there can be multiple results per minute). I think chopping to the second would be adequate.

The alternative is that I just overwrite any existing data with the later data for a specific time stamp, so it just plots the most recent data for that stamp, but it seems a shame to waste perfectly good data.

Thanks!

Claymore's Ethereum Dual miner Manager

been using this manager now for 3.5 years. its in the Claymore zip folder.
no need to create a dashboard as it does everything you want, including editing the config file on the fly, see your rig wattage, see your fan speed, gpu temp, running time, version of phoenix, ethereum stats, how many times your rig restarted. to boot, it can send you a text if the rig is down, you can even reset, restart without having to go to each rig with even more options to list.. its the best free tool for mining with phoenix miner.. take some time to read the phoenix manual.
