Yesterday I bought something in an online shop and paid with Bitpay. I used a high fee of 450 Sats / B, but the confirmation took about 8 hours. Now the payment has been confirmed over 30 times but my invoice is still in unpaid status. In addition, I have seen that the payment to the address provided by Bitpay has been forwarded to this address https://blockchain.info/en/address/36Lh3Ktiu5Xw6ZXJAqYZXXGMs1T3PyG5Ky

Is the money gone now? I have written to Bitpay support but they are apparently very overburdened.

I saw that BitPay wants to rip off 60$ from me, for transaction fee.
Is BitPay hacked?

Probably not, but I still have no information what has happened with my payment. It is not less money. Around .3 BTC.

Does anyone know whether the address 36Lh3Ktiu5Xw6ZXJAqYZXXGMs1T3PyG5Ky belongs to Bitpay or not?

You might have to contact the shop rather than bitpay. The bitpay website seems to pass the buck to the merchant for refunds.

Refunds & Order Troubleshooting

BitPay provides tools and reporting for merchants to view successful payments and manage their own refunds in bitcoin. If you would like a refund or need help in getting your order for a successful payment, please contact the merchant directly. They can initiate the refund process or help you get your purchase.

Remember that you will need to provide your BitPay invoice URL or your order ID for the merchant to assist you. Merchant refund policies differ, so please contact the merchant to discuss refund options.

There's also this blog post about it.

If your transaction confirms and the merchant does not fulfill your order, you don't need to reach out to BitPay. Just reach out to the seller and provide your order ID and BitPay invoice URL as proof of payment.
