Please stop posting FUD about CoinEx, we will issue an announcement within next 24hrs about how we are going to handle the situation.
Long story short: yes, our wallet server got hacked and all funds were withdrawn.
Please read back to the beginning of this thread, we had such a problem before and *returned all the stolen funds from our own pockets*. Before this hack happened, we also had several attacks that lost funds and we silently covered those from our fees.
For those who was stalking me at internets: thats true, i was trying to hide/delete my accounts. At the very first moment i saw zero balance at our bitcoin wallet i knew this was coming. And it scared the shit out of me. Hope you can understand that. About me selling bitcoins at localbitcoins.com: thats true too. I have 33mh/s scrypt gpu mining farm, I have >50% of coinex fees + I get % from cryptostocks share sells. Nothing criminal here again.
So again, please calm down. We are not doing a runner.
The only way i can see to restore this is to sell more shares at cryptostocks to cover the losses *and to hire a professional security audit team to prevent this from happening again*. Long story short, we're covering this from our own pockets again.
Thanks - erundook
I really wonder whats wrong with some people. Imagine running a jewelry store or money exchange without insurance, beeing robbed several times, waiting for the final blow before thinking about security. There are no words to describe this way of working. It is quite obvious that you are not capable of running a business like this. No one should support this and give the owner new confidence over and over. This wont work. +100000 some people love being hit in the face by the same door every day I suppose. What can be the reason of trusting your funds to such amateurs?

Another update.
Initial 24h timeframe was a bit too optimistic, we need more time to catch up. While we're waiting for an answer from a few investors, we came up to another idea which could bring much more trust into the bitcoin community.
Long story short: an insurance company for Bitcoin-based services.
More will come soon, keep calm & carry on.
Thanks! - erundook

So remember the warning "do not use an exchange as your wallet" and "do not invest more than you can affort to lose". [skipped]
that's it, the first rule I used while 'investing' in hyip 10+ years ago, the same rule used here. do not put all your eggs in one basket

Nyktalgia, you do have 48 posts and 40 of them in this thread spreading FUD. Just stop nobody is interested in your opinions anymore, if there is somebody troll here then you fit that description just perfectly.

Craptsy ?! Are you sure??? They are really bad and this is when they don't have a problem... What would happen if they do have a real problem??? Sometimes you will wait them for hours to show up your own coins in your deposit balance. This is unacceptable.

I think this is what most people are wondering about, and hoping for some info on. I only had a tiny bit of bitcoin on Coinex, but I did have some other coins.

Cryptsy moves like a slug, has an awkward interface, and can be very iffy. And that said, they probably are the best of a bad bunch. I am sort of amazed at just how poorly most exchanges are set up and run.

Thx for the update!! I would love to help finding this asshole(s)! It should be able to track dem down by retracking the wallet address(s) used for all transactions to get the IP's, by comparing against known wallet addresses which were included during the transactions of all exchanges (starting by coinex withdraw wallet addresses) ?!?! maybe another GOOD genius "hacker" could get it more closer. NSA where are your fucking illegal tools to track this dude ^^ Wish you get it running soon it was a great exchange platform !!

What I don't understand is that the post from erundook indicated that the wallet server had been hacked, but there are also reports that users saw their balances go to 0 right before the site was closed down. Which of them is it? Because, clearly the web front end is not reading the balances directly from the wallets, but rather from a table in the database. Or have I completely missed/misunderstood something?
