Looks legit, but does it really hold in weight putting it on your resume/CV?

I suspect having this on your CV would be analogous to having passed a Udemy or Coursera course, except it'll cost you $135 more.

Plus a $35 renewal fee (per year?), seems like robbery. That being said, the course content does look interesting (if it were cheap/free).

Meh, highly doubt that anyone cares if you have some random certification that no one is going to care about. Like I mean it would be nice and cool for it to be there as a resume builder, as it is another certification but I don't think it holds any weight.

Wouldn't get involved with something like this, and I'm not planning on doing this either.

I think it's good to have professionals about bitcoins but with the qualifications stated like entrepreneur and accountant, IT and bitcoins users lacks bitcoin knowledge and concept information themselves. It's not that I don't trust everyone here, we all do have flaws. I think it's not enough unless education about bitcoin exists. What Google have about bitcoins are definitely not all facts. In my opinion some are just made up.
And I think this will confuse people more. Who would know if they are truly knowledgeable about it. Some can take advantage of the title CBP.
Another thing is, what would the certificate benefit you, if this will give you more access or something, everyone will go wild just to have this certificate.

I am sure the certification can be of big help especially that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are poised to be so popular in the coming years. Getting ahead of the pack will surely be bringing in more benefits and of course this certification can mean good business for the service provider but I am just hoping that the certification really means something in terms of evaluating one's knowledge or expertise in this field otherwise it will just be another certification mill that can be worthless in the future. Now, since we are in the cryptocurrency, it would also be a good idea to apply the blockchain technology in the certification process...there is already doing it in education but the file is very much open for more participants. Except for the price, I find this good and refreshing.

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply with your thoughts!

Plus a $35 renewal fee (per year?), seems like robbery. That being said, the course content does look interesting (if it were cheap/free).

I discovered it when I was looking for courses on the blockchain.  I already paid the $19CDN for it  Undecided so I'll let you know what I thought of it.

$35 per two years seems reasonable to me and I don't need to renew it if bitcoin has lost public favor.  Bitcoin (and proof of work) may or may not survive, but the blockchain is here to stay.

I also found this old topic on the subject:

That would be a great idea to have Bitcoin professionals so that all investors can seek advises and tips on what they are going to do or what potential Altcoins should be invested on or maybe when is the best time to buy or sell. However, before we go to that certifications, it is much better to implement the rules and regulations of Bitcoin by the Government for the protection of investors around the world. That's the first thing that needs for improvement in my opinion.

I do think that if you are gonna invest your time and money on it you might as well think about Cisco certified network expert or... Some.. ethical hacking certificates, they will hold more weight than any certificate involving Bitcoins.. because I don't eventhink that you need more than knowledge and experience in this field and Google does just fine ..
Getting a whole course about it could turn out to be useless. While applying for Major jobs.

A nice vanity on one's resume, but I don't think someone will bat an eye on such except for noticing that it's quite odd? I mean, if you are working on an IT-related field, wouldn't it be beneficial on your end to just get Microsoft, CCNA and Linux+ certifications other than that one? If you're on a blockchain-related field, maybe it could benefit you in a way, but still a cool vanity to have on one's CV.

Did you ever do this course? I'm curious whether it teaches anything related to the programming languages that build around blockchain.

Hello @Vod.

Did you do it?

I am interested in it... I would like to hear your opinion about it.
I just read mastering bitcoin, is that enough? I am expecting a somewhat easy test.... Any coding skills required?
