You know that there are lots of different icos, so predicting the one that will die is really hard
 Because there are lots of fake ico mix with genuine one which makes it hard

You can minimise the scam ico by getting your ICO from a genuine source.

The only reason this is coming up is because of the scams . So many scams in IcO nowadays. But real icos and self drops have a working platform before launching such. Something users can see the potential in and be a part of. So , icos will not die in 2018, but will just get harder because of distrust. Icoinvestopedia is working on a platform that lists only legitimate ICOs. The devs have a research team that looks into each ico that wants to list on the platform before listing them. Helps reduce scam and the stress of research for users.they are not live yet though. Maybe in a few months time. Watch out for that .
