Sumokoin (SUMO) project was launched in May 2017. It is an open-source cryptocurrency with a vision of privacy, untraceability, decentralization and fungibility. The currency has a international developer team and is comprised of Sumoshi Tanaka, Haruto Tanno, Bill Aue and Vu Quang. The team have proven their skill by delivering intuitive and user friendly products on time, and in some cases even ahead of schedule.

Being a fork of Monero it’s one of the few truly fungible cryptocurrencies on the market. Since Sumokoin was created after Moneros hard fork(January 2017) introducing RingCT, no transactions on the blockchain are traceable, unlike Monero where the biggest part of transactions are. While Monero has a mixin of (4+1), Sumokoin has improved upon that by adding (12+1) mixin, making it even more secure (see .https://lab.getmonero.org/pubs/MRL-0001.pdf ). Monero also struggles with a resource demanding wallet, with bug reports and transaction issues reported on GitHub. Sumokoin wallet has none of that, making it a stable and easy to use wallet.

During summer 2017, there was major spikes in hashrate caused by botnets, Nicehashers and mining farms. Since these are destructive forces towards the coins vision of decentralization, the developers quickly made an algorithm to combat these surges. The algorithm had to be implemented by a hard fork, making it the first and only for Sumokoin. The algorithm was a success, and in turn Sumokoin is known for being decentralized and miner friendly.

Sumokoin has since it’s inception grown majorly in every aspect, and seen great enthusiasm on social media translate into more people joining the project. By delivering great products like the GUI wallet for Windows/OSX/Linux, Sumo Easy Miner, difficulty algorithm and now also a wallet for Android, the project has proven that it has a clear vision of making a private cryptocurrency for mass adoption.

Sumokoins increased awareness has also brought several skilled developers into the project, contributing with features like WooCommerce plugin, Vanity address generator, pool upgrades,  Android wallet and more.

Sumokoin is one of the truly fungible currencies in crypto. What does fungible mean, you ask? It means it works just like cash, all SUMOKOIN are equal, changeable.  There's extremely little chance of being blacklisted, because transaction history and amount are obfuscated by default. Unlike some other coins, were since most of transactions are public, run the risk of being blacklisted, making some coins in the supply less valued than the rest.

Imagine paying someone without transaction and amount being revealed, Sumokoin offers this. There are other coins that provide private transactions, but a major flaw with them is the use of two ledgers and the fact that they have a richlist. The transparent ledger transactions can be used to attack the private transactions to reveale the information. Sorta like a brute force attack on e-mail account, were you have some information to help speed up the process. Since many of these coins have transparent ledger as default up to 95% of transactions and amounts are known and gives attacks like these a lot of information to work with. Better chose Sumokoin were all transactions and amounts are hidden by default, giving better privacy for all.
