Or are they mostly shitcoins, disappear or using your emails for phishing?
Have you ever participate to one with high profit? How long was wait for that?
I think most of them are just bullshit and time wasting and not worth putting some effort in.

Well maybe most are BS and time wasting depending. I have enjoyed 80% of all airdrops and bounties I have participated in and currently my portfolio holds the highest value on coins/tokens gotten from either AD or bounty. I most be luck to choose the good ones and have certainly not been time wasting for me.

If you know how to choose a proper ICO i think this airdrop and bounty will become profitable. Yea, some of them might be scam, that is why you must choose proper ICO that is trusted.

Most of the airdrops are not profitable. But counties are profitable if you choose the right one. First analysis and study the project. Look at the team. Read their white paper and website. find out more information regarding the ico and decide the best one to participate.

There are a lot of campaign gifts that can lead to successful results. But we must be careful in choosing the project because not all projects can be successful. Yes ofcourse it is useful especially to the ICO itself. Making these is so good for endorsement and promotion to many people. Bounty hunter make them so soundy in the forum and airdrop make them so interesting to many people to hold that token. So this is a good strategy for the ICO.

Bounties can be useful for attracting potential investors, especially the ones that deal with social media and telegram.
The problem is that there are so many projects nowadays that it has become extremely difficult to sort out the most promising ones.
