services like mybitcoin.com?

I know this has been discussed before in the non-newbie section. However, due to being restricted and unable to participate in that discussion I thought I would start one here.

Do you think it is secure? Would you trust them? Is the risk worth the added flexibility and speed?

I think you'd find a few different experiences from the forum on the subject. Some have created account, btc sent in and now not able to login. Some have missing btc. And some have good experiences with them. Also, the nature of btc wallet, you can change your address_id; but with the service, will you get your btc once you change your address_id?

The service is run by someone; so, it all comes down to do you want someone to hold your wallet with all your money in it?

It's a risk. Bitcoin is a new frontier on the internet, and naturally you're going to find a lot of bandits and rustlers taking advantage. Personally, I either sell my coins on MtGox or hold onto them. It just makes more sense in the long run.
