I weanted to discuss the new Royal Mint Gold blockchain, but I wasn't sure where to start a thread. It isn't a currency as such, but it offers a digital record of a physical asset. Trading is not open to the public, but is performed via authorised dealers who keep a copy of the blockchain.
I suspect that this type of service will become more common as the bankers grab the coat tails of Bitcoin's success.
