For me Bitcoin is not useless at all. Bitcoin is the most largely accepted cryptocurrency in the world to date. It is also the most popular and everybody is talking about it. When things gets popular surely acquiring those things will require more money. Just Imagine a popular actor to a newbie actor the popular actor gets more pay compared to the newbie actor even though they are just the same actors in one movie. The popular actor will get good treatment compared to the newbie actor. That is the same with bitcoin, because of it's popularity that is why the prices are high even transaction fees are ridiculous. But people still choose use bitcoin because of it's popularity and wide range acceptance.

Why is bitcoin useless?
Bitcoin has become a convenient way to transfer assets between countries, and bitcoin, like gold has its value. It's not useless.
I think what he meant was bitcoin unlike other currencies and gold. But like you said. The meaning and effect of bitcoin is the reason for bitcoin's price. Not to mention the existence of blockchain.

It's because it's the first crypto people ever know and it's like a some famous brand like Yamaha or Honda for bike some people didn't buy it because it's spec but because it's brand so it's something like that.

Bitcoin is very slow transaction and fee is rediculus then why people bother buying it or considering it. I have £130 of bitcoin and I want to move it and it is asking for £28 network fee. Why should people bother having it. I can't wait to get rid of it when the fee is low.

I personally never get that much fee during the transaction and all the transactions are running fast. I think that may be the effect of your wallet and the bank you use for the purpose of the transaction. As long as i do a transaction with my wallet, the biggest fees is when i sell 0.3 btc and it costs only 5%.

Don't think of it as something you trade regularly. Its a store of value. So store it.  Grin

Yes. btc is very similar to gold, you can not eat it or use it to buy something directly, but it is worthy, right? So that is the definition of currency, you should know that.

you can not compare bitcoin with gold, bitcoin can be easily replicated with a computer and have no use even as a decorative element, gold can not be replicated, many people have tried and failed, with current technology It can be replicated but it is very expensive, it was created by supernovas, that is why it has been valuable throughout history, and gold will always be valuable and Bitcoin not.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. I have seen tips of thousands of Dogecoins. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

It's strange for me to hear when they speak of the weakness or even uselessness of bitcoin. Bitcoin is a project with huge capitalization, modern advanced technology and it will develop even faster.

The coin you are considering useless is the number 1 coin of all times and the coin that introduced the blockchain technology for people around the world , and by that it allowed many people to get more freedom and it actually made a revolution in both the economic world and the anonymity concept that was always oppressed by governments , the thing you consider useless has more value than whatever inventions , ideas and thoughts you'll have during the integrity of your life ..

Bitcoin is not useless. It has very high price because its valuable. Its not just some cheap coin.
Many investors have so much benefit using bitcoin and many are mining for bitcoin.
It is hard to earn and bitcoin is very important in crypto.

Demand creates supply.
But in my opinion, Bitcoin is having a massive problem with the average transaction fee of 0.001 BTC / transaction. Also confirm time is very long, causing discomfort as well as anxiety for everyone. I think in future Ethereum will easily replace this weakness with Blockchain 2.0 technology.

It depends on the network traffic, but now the fee is very low but i wouldn't suggest to sell it at early stage because bitcoin will here to stay and will always be the main cryptocurrency that will dominate the market.

Bitcoin is very slow yes, the transaction fees are very high yes, but one thing you should take note is bitcoin for all its problems is still the poster coin for all of the crypto universe.
When bitcoin has a problem, the total coinmarket has a problem and this is because a lot of newbies entering the  Crypto world knows mainly about bitcoin and don't understand the value of the others or are skeptic about putting their money into other altcoins.

So bitcoin will still be the main crypto for a very very long time.

It's the best alternative to pair against and fiat into crypto is still a hassle.

Extreme network fees are not taking place always. For the last 1 month, transaction fees are in the lowest period. You can make fast transfers with couple of dollars and this is still amazing for the community.
