Or maybe take a look at a coin that has a decent dev and some momentum behind it.
Why resurrect junk when there is a perfectly good and agile project working right here.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303749.0

That can be said about loads and loads of coins, though.

Quite true but HBN is very similar 2%  POS interest every 10 days gives ~100% annual so
its an obvious place for people interested in the idea of GRW to check out.

Add to that some historic interest, a philosophy and an innovating dev and it's actually a viable project.

But as you say plenty other coins out there, majority are garbage so no need to attempt to resurrect failed garbage.

Agreed, but how is this garbage compared to the scam QRK, NVC, WDC, MEC and all the others, it's just a lesser no good coin, I think it deserves to have a working wallet, at least, it's not ruining anything.

No news on GRW yet? :-/  Undecided

I have an idea on how to get mining for this coin working again, without needing to update the client.

I don't know if it's going to work. If it does, it will probably only be a short term solution.

Putting it here first in case it does.

Update. I've managed to successfully begin mining and extend the chain again. This is local only: still have to see if the network will accept my (small) fork when I remove the firewalling and allow my client to reconnect globally. The trust level on my chain is higher but it still may be rejected by the network.

*** NETWORK HAS ACCEPTED MY CHAIN AS BEST AND IS MINTING BLOCKS AGAIN ***

Remember it's only a temporary fix; as this didn't require a client update things may break again, but hopefully it will renew interest in this coin.

It seems that all pools did not respond, so you need solo mining I think.

Maybe I will have a pool for this running in a week (if all goes correctly)

I don't think GRW has a had a populated pool running for months. The only one I've seen active has been empty.

Thanks, noticed them just before and came here to find out who sent them Smiley

What problems are you having mining? Your client should be showing a block count of at least 302584 - if it's lower, try deleting the blockchain (stop client, delete blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat and the entire contents of the database directory, restart client)
